CBJ Board Other Sports Thread: Part VI

Most satisfying win I can remember in a long time. Excellent coaching and gameplan by Rob Ryan and Mangini to shut down the Super Bowl champs.

kidAcbj 10-24-2010 10:05 PM

First the Jackets beat the Stanley Cup champs and now the Browns beat the Super Bowl champs! Incredible performance!! Proud to be a Browns fan today.

Fro 10-24-2010 11:35 PM

feels good to win a close one...SUCK IT VIQUEENS!!!!

For a guy who supposedly doesn't care, he sure seems to care about his perception.

Watch the documentary More Than A Game. It's about him and his high school team. It's pretty clear he just wants to be loved.

I had no interest in the noon college games today. So far, the 3:30 ones have been disappointments. Night games, don't let me down plz.

Robert 10-30-2010 07:05 PM

State got blown out, no surprise there. The best conference has a decent game going on in Oxford, Ole Miss in grey is different. In the end Auburn will be tops in the nation.

kidAcbj 10-30-2010 09:16 PM

Anyone else annoyed that USC/Oregon is being trumped by OSU/ Minnesota? I mean obviously we're in Columbus but still...put that crap on Big Ten Network.

Streaming the game online instead, heck of a battle so far

You're doing it wrong! (On the left)

Fro 11-02-2010 01:33 PM

just would like to say congrats to Ohio Dominican Alum Jonathan Sanchez on a World Series Ring...

Sparky Anderson dead at the age of 76 - sigh... it's been a rough year for us old timer Detroit Tiger fans. First Ernie Harwell, now Sparky.

I'm sure Reds fans are feeling the same way today. Sparky was a good man.

1857 Howitzer 11-04-2010 02:24 PM

Very sad, Sparky was one of the great personalities in sports.

Samkow 11-05-2010 02:43 PM

As I've said, whiniest sports city in America.

Timeless Winter 11-05-2010 04:48 PM

How so? it's still better than Colombus.

Lmao, I was just trolling him back, I wasn't serious.

Jovavic 11-05-2010 07:00 PM

And now that bit in the last South Park makes sense (never seen that commerical before)

Ludicrous Speed 11-06-2010 06:53 PM

Brian Carrol was the worst possible choice for a fifth shooter. He's invaluable to the Crew, but not for his scoring ability.

Why not put Robbie in there? I don't even think Robbie is that good but **** I know he can take a better PK than that.

Happy Pony 11-07-2010 03:44 PM

I'm really glad the Browns took down the Pats today.

I was just about to say, thank you Browns for beating the stuffing out of the Patriots.:)

kidAcbj 11-07-2010 04:42 PM

I LOVE these Browns right now!

First a beat down of the Saints and now a beat down of the Pats!? :yo:

If only they could have beaten the Bucs and Chiefs....:shakehead

CBJSprague24 11-07-2010 06:17 PM

Jeff Gordon & Jeff Burton with a "scrap" on the backstretch during the race at Texas today.

Burton deserved it.

You have to use the players that were on the field at the end of extra time. Rogers was subbed out in the 90th minute of regulation. That said, I agree about Carroll. Lenhart would have been a much smarter choice.

Timeless Winter 11-07-2010 07:29 PM

1 Browns ticket = $ 85 bucks
1 Peyton Hillis jersey = $ 75 bucks
4 beers = $ 32 bucks
Seeing the Browns dominate the Pats = Priceless.

I thought the last win vs the Saints was the most enjoyable since they came back in 99, but this one was even better, and it was also great to see so many Browns fans smiling and high fiving, plus the Patriots fans going home pissed off.

Matthew 11-07-2010 08:06 PM

Oregon Ducks decide to match their ugly football uniforms with an ugly basketball court. I wonder if they have 5 alternate courts ready to go as well?
