I'd assume he clears, unless someone has goaltending injuries and needs a stop-gap replacement.

HemskyToHall* 11-01-2010 11:47 AM

He'll clear.

oilersfan11 11-01-2010 12:16 PM

It's about time.

Reign Nateo 11-01-2010 12:19 PM

Never really impressed me. He should clear rather easily if guys like Greiss and Ersberg make it through.

jeremywilhelm 11-01-2010 12:19 PM

Wow. Finally Tambellini does something. I don't know WTF he was waiting for.

ItsTheBGB 11-01-2010 12:26 PM

Beautiful.

OneMoreAstronaut 11-01-2010 12:29 PM

Took too long. As Reign Nateo said, if Griess and Ersberg cleared JDD will have no problem as well.

wedge 11-01-2010 12:40 PM

it would be sooo funny if he was claimed after Greiss was ignored.

I smell some francophone habs fans from RDS wanting the Canadiens to claim him. ahahha

Joey McMoss 11-01-2010 12:43 PM

I think he'll get claimed. Philadelphia or Ottawa.

Joseppi 11-01-2010 12:45 PM

About damn time. Best of luck JDD, but you were just taking up space.

Ottawa doesn't need another back-up goalie.

McOylerz 11-01-2010 12:56 PM

Watch Calgary take him. Karlsson hasn't been very good.

ILuvLucic* 11-01-2010 12:57 PM

So much for Edmonton's logjam in nets.

McDNicks17 11-01-2010 12:59 PM

That's unfortunate.

JDD has the skills to be a better NHL goalie than Dubnyk.

Oh well.

How long's Leclaire out for? They could go with Elliot and Deslauriers until he got back. :dunno:

Lehner is much better than JDD. He's probably better than Leclaire and Elliott too.

We don't have any cap space even if we wanted to claim a goalie. Leclaire's out atleast another week. We'll just roll with Lehner and Elliott until he's back. (hoping Lehner gets a few games . . . )

zeus3007* 11-01-2010 01:06 PM

He will likely clear, and the Oklahoma Barons will have the best goaltending duo in the AHL (or one of the best). Dubnyk is the guy the Oilers want to keep around for the future, he has more upside.

Akonite 11-01-2010 02:50 PM

I can't help but feel for the guy.

He was shoved into a number one role when he wasn't ready and now he's being relegated to the minors, having lost the back up role.

I do believe it was the right call, but it's just an unfortunate series of events for Jeff.

hatterson 11-01-2010 02:52 PM

Can't think anyone is in desperate need of a #3 goalie enough to claim him, he'll clear almost certainly

Lehner's back in Bingo. Leclaire back for tomorrow.

KarmaPolice 11-01-2010 03:34 PM

He's a pretty solid goalie. He put up fairly decent numbers last year when the Oilers defense was putrid from all the injured players being out.

WJG 11-01-2010 03:38 PM

I wonder if this means Omark is getting called up.

I feel bad for him simply because of the oilers farm situation when he was first brought in. That really screwed with his development.

I'd think a d-man or someone for the 4th line. So far Edmonton hasn't had trouble scoring goals (6th in goals per game). The issue is they can't keep it out of their own net (28th in that regard). Omark isn't going to help in that regard.

Or as someone pointed out could mean that JFJ is healthy again and they need room on the roster for him.
