looked like more like a Charley horse. hopefully he's ok. maybe more scared than injured

Andrighetto Fabolous 11-13-2010 09:48 PM

**** you Staal you piece of ****, please be okay Markov. :(

BeBen* 11-13-2010 09:48 PM

the way he punched in the boards...its like he knew it was really bad

 please Wolverine, be hockey

Patrice Brisebois 11-13-2010 09:49 PM

If this is serious, there's absolutely no way I'd re-sign him for anything more than he's making now. And for no more than 2 years

Quarantesix 11-13-2010 09:49 PM

He walked on his leg that's the only positive I can see right now

After a knee injury, you can almost walk on it without really noticing a difference in pain, depending on the injury. After icing if he can still walk on it, then I would be happy.

Mise en echec 11-13-2010 09:50 PM

when he threw his gloves i just had a flash back of his injury last year

Form and Substance 11-13-2010 09:50 PM

Whenever he throws his gloves off and removes his helmet immediately after falling, you know it's bad.

Ross MacLochness 11-13-2010 09:51 PM

Injured by a Eric Staal in Montreal on a nothing play while the Habs were flying high... how ****ing typical.

Welp, that looks like its our first big injury of the season. Hope Picard is ready

SherbrookeW 11-13-2010 09:52 PM

He wouldn't have done that if it wasn't bad. Whether it was intentional or not, it was knee-on-knee, and warrants a long suspension. But you won't see it. Dammn -- what a costly costly win.

Myron Gaines* 11-13-2010 09:52 PM

He put a bit of weight on his leg, I don't think he'll miss many games, but his injury history is starting to worry me after this. I hope he's fine.

Hannibal 11-13-2010 09:53 PM

After tonight, i'm not willing to give him an extension. He's became to much of an injury prone player!

:(

McNuts 11-13-2010 09:53 PM

Youtube please :(

For ****'s sake...

Markov was skated on the achille's tendon... When you get skated on... **** happens... He's not injury prone, he's just extremely unlucky.

TankEller* 11-13-2010 09:54 PM

Markov clearly wasn't 100%. You could see it the way he skated.

That being said, he sure didn't look as miserable as the last time. He could get on his knee and actually put some weight on his leg.

I hope he's not all for too long. Thanks God we got Subban.

I also thought it looked like a Charley Horse, but then while he's mid air it looks like his knee starts twisting for no apparent reason... I'm anxious to hear the final word on this!

Exactly what I thought... he's punching the wall because he feels it being very bad.

JustAHabFan 11-13-2010 09:54 PM

**** you Staal.

There is not enough info. Period.

Carey Chant 11-13-2010 09:54 PM

@#$%ing Staal. I always worry about crap like this when there is a blowout, on a nothing play in the same corner as last year. Markov punching the boards might just be a frustration move cause he went through a major injury before. I really hope he isn't hurt because he just started getting back into game form. Cross your fingers and hope it's nothing serious, but if it is then he will get the "glass" label on him and nobody will offer him big $$$.

odishabs 11-13-2010 09:55 PM

it looked like he was over exagerating

hogtownhabsfan* 11-13-2010 09:55 PM

The truth is Markov hasn't been that good this year anyway. Unlike years past, I'm confident we can survive with or without him...

Obviously hope he's ok though.

TroyM 11-13-2010 09:55 PM

I had the same reaction a lot of people had to him punching the boards, I felt like he knew it was serious and he was just ****ing pissed that his knee was re-injured. I hope hope hope I/we are reading too much into that punch though and he was just hurt and we can get some good news. Ecstatic about the win and the game but man, we were rolling, PP coming back to life, I don't want to lose Markov again. I'll be checking this thread frequently.

We thought that for Bouillon. 81 games last year. You know that the day we decide not to keep him, he'll end up playing 82 games with his new team. Might as well keep him....but might as well TRY to add the fact that his healthy is a question mark in the negotiations to try to have him at a little less that we would have given him. Now, remains to be seen if every other team will be shy giving it to him....
