What do you think about this idea?

would your risk Waiving Gomez to clear up some salary

no one will pick him up. at 7 millions or at 3.5...
which means, we free 3.5 millions from the salary cap

and bring him back to the lineup

What's the risk in waiving him ? No one wants him.

Doesn't work like that.

If you bring him up on re-entry waivers and he gets claimed, you pay half. If he doesn't, you still pay the full price.

Someone will pick him up at 3.5

if you bring him back, you will not save on the cap. (i'm 99.99 % sure).

If it worked like that why wouldn't every team be doing it?

thanks for your answers.

I didnt know that it would count to full salary cap even after taking him back from waivers.

It does not work that way. I am confident someone would have picked him at half price anyway.

As others have said, doesn't work that way.
