Jon Matsumoto - Cleared

As per Bob McKenzie on Twitter.

Sounds like he had to clear to go back to Charlotte. With Carter coming in yesterday, no reason to keep Moto up. Hope he clears

Hello Matsumoto

Brock Anton 11-24-2010 02:26 PM

Not surprising. His play really didn't fit the fourth line. But when he was on the ice, he was solid.

Doesn't Matsumoto pitch for the Red Sox???:naughty:

In other words, if Matsumoto gets waived, but nobody knows who Matsumoto is, is he really on waivers???:naughty:

Kinda sucks, but I think even with this, the Flyers won in the deal that sent him to Carolina. He was dangerous against the Flyers, indeed.

you missed it. he is being sent back to the A, so he has to clear waivers apparently. I think we all thought he didnt have to clear waivers, but it seems he is eligible.

Didn't the Flyers get a draft pick for him? But yeah, he seems to a career AHLer to be honest.

i think it was a 5th round pick? i cant remember. but i dont see what that has to do with him having to clear waivers to back to the A. he played well, although not in a 4th line role, but the top 9 had too many other people trying to get those spots. but he is well suited for the A.

It was a 7th.

Saw this coming. They're trying to get him back down to Charlotte. Does anyone know the waiver eligibility rule? He's played 10 NHL games and is 24 years old. I'm thinking it has to do with games played or age, but I can't fully remember how it works.
