Habs Win 3-2 OT

Fel 96 11-26-2010 01:30 AM

The Thrashers are a lot better than last season and they now have some very good key players.

too bad, I was hoping Pavelec would get the start.

According to RDS, JM doesn't expect to make any line changes from last game so I think we'd see Pouliot - Eller - Darche again.

Next Best Thing* 11-26-2010 01:43 AM

Stewie and Bergy? I thought this was the ATL gtd for a second

You forgot Cammy, Pleks, Gio, Primetime, and... G-LOVE

Slippin Jimmy 11-26-2010 01:44 AM

Have a feeling this will be a tough game.

Anyway, Go Habs Go!

Teufelsdreck 11-26-2010 02:02 AM

I don't know what the oddsmakers say but I'd make the Thrashers slight favorites in this game. The Habs need a win to holf off the Bruins in the Northeast but they can't use Price in every game. Like other posters, I'm curious to see if uniting Eller with Pouloit and Darche will amount to a third line with scoring potential. At least every member of the line is over 6' and 200 lb.

Kinda wish we would have gobbled one of Ladd or Big Buff

McTusk 11-26-2010 02:08 AM

I have a weird feeling about this one.

Don't understand why we didn't make a play for Ladd. Exactly the type of player we need. And if we did make a play why didn't we make a stronger one.

Captain Smurf 11-26-2010 02:38 AM

4-2 Atlanta. Big Buff and Enstrom rockthe house, but Eller pots another

hope I'm wrong though.

SB164 11-26-2010 04:06 AM

I wish the Habs went for Dustin Byfuglien during the off-season. He literally is a beast. You know this guy would've been a king in this city.

6'5, 255 pounds...

GetPucksDeep 11-26-2010 04:47 AM

Thrasher lines

expect

Ladd-Peverley-Bergfors
Kane-Little-Stewart
Eager-Burmistrov-Antropov
Thorburn-Slater-Boulton

at least that's what rolled on Wednesday.

King Woodballs 11-26-2010 06:06 AM

going to be a tough game
atlanta has decided to be a decent team this year.

go habs go!

Krnage 11-26-2010 07:48 AM

Habs will win 4-3
Cammy,Pleks,Subban and Eller

Charlie Milles* 11-26-2010 07:56 AM

Auld vs. Mason. Loser must shave his head.:sarcasm:

swissexpert 11-26-2010 08:54 AM

Why the hell don't they leave Weber down in Hamilton? I wouldn't say anything if he actually played, but sitting in the press box every other game and getting 10 min TOI if he's in the line-up is a bad option for him and for MTL..
He had so many call-ups last year which made him struggle a little bit, why not just letting him play a full AHL season and then give him a real shot in the NHL?
He was almost a PPG player there and leading a good AHL team can only be positive for his development, IMO.

Santino 11-26-2010 09:33 AM

Auld in auld, i expect this to be a big battle. I hope the habs dont take them lightly, the trashes should not be underestimated. If mtl plays with the same energy as they did the kings. i say we win this one 3-2!

I wanted us to get one of either from the beginning. When they both went to Atlanta I must admit I was really sad.

He has only been up for a little while and I am sure he is happy to get an NHL paycheck just before the holidays as well, not uncommon for teams to call players up for a while as a reward even if they aren't going to use him.

I am not as nervous about this game as some of you, the Habs are playing like a well oiled machine and I expect another W regardless of who is in nets, go Habs!

Comparing the GDT records of people who make humble GDTs like this one versus mine with the cocky (funny yes, but still cocky) photoshops is making me think I should tone it down!

Anyway, GO HABS GO! Atlanta shouldn't be taken lightly and they play a style that should be well suited to challenge us.

Hoping Eller and Subban both pot goals tonight :)
