Not surprised at all to hear he was invited.

Good luck to him. Hopefully he makes the team.

Howse has been cut from WJ camp.

wow first cuts when he is averaging in the neighborhood of .75 goals per game?

Not so shocking there usually is a lot of players that rack up the points on there CHL team but are not chosen for the team. Kind of odd that he didn't make first cuts though, but he can be lazy at times so maybe he felt he was going to be a shoe in.

Wow this sucks alot. I was hoping to watch Howse in the WJC :(

I only see two scrimmages posted on the WJC website and Howse only scored 1 goal it seems.

I don't think any player feels like a show in when a guy like Seguin never made the club... and I'm not shocked he didn't make the team... just shocked he was a first cut

Well, Boyd tore it up in the WJHC and he's a fringe player at best. Maybe getting cut so early will light a fire under Howse and make him better for it.

I can dream.

Very dissapointing. I was also looking forward to watching him play.

But now there is nobody to cheer for on Team Canada :P

Do we have any other prospects in the WJC?

Deen 12-14-2010 03:11 PM

Erixon is gonna be a lock for Sweden

Joni Ortio(FIN), Tim Erixon(SWE) and John Ramage(USA).

GoFlames 12-14-2010 08:36 PM

With Erixon in I might have to cheer for Sweden. Too bad Howse was cut. Would have been a great experience for him.

...I can't cheer for Ramage, but go FinSwelandeners! (Ortio and Erixon)
