DECEMBER SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

Obviously, you want to have at least one guy who you can play with a little longer.
But the lines change a lot here, so you just have to work with whoever is in there and make things happen.
- Marian Gaborik

Every night is tough to win in this league so we have to make sure we’re ready from the get-go and have a good start.
- Brandon Dubinsky

The guys were asleep the first 20 minutes, but I thought we played better in the 2nd and 3rd periods.
Why were we asleep? I don’t have any answers for that.
- John Tortorella

SRTtoZ 12-08-2010 09:06 PM

We need to get back on track QUICK. Cmon guys!!!

Fitzy 12-08-2010 09:08 PM

I would like to see Anisimov get back on the scoreboard this game.

The Lunatic Fridge 12-08-2010 09:10 PM

They had 3 days off, we better not see any lazy ass plays out there tomorrow.

DMPD 12-08-2010 09:10 PM

Agreed!

LGR! I think it's time for Dubinsky to pot one...

mrudds90 12-08-2010 09:21 PM

feels like forever since sunday. gotta come out with a strong first and put them away early. lgr.

Blatant 12-08-2010 09:28 PM

Actually real pumped for this game, feels like forever since that bitter loss. Lets get back at 'em with 2 points. Lets go Rangers.

Does anyone else feel that gabby and Torts have a bad relationship. In his quote he pretty much says I do not like how the lines always change, I wanna get used to one guy to play with. I agree with that.

asparkoflife 12-08-2010 09:29 PM

Let's pound these clowns. Prust and Anisimov on the scoresheet.

racer90 12-08-2010 09:43 PM

dubinsky is due for a hat trick.

doobs scores 3 in this game. book it

Yeah that quote jumped out at me. Maybe the team's 40 goal scorer can convince Torts to keep lines the same so that maybe this team can develop some chemistry like we had with the Pack line at the beginning of the season.

Regardless, we need to come out strong in this game and get these 2 points. LGR!!:yo:

Good luck guys. You're all welcome to discuss the game on the Ottawa board, as long as everything is kept clean:

Cheers to a good game!

I Am Chariot 12-08-2010 09:55 PM

I think this is a big benchmark test. How do they respond after the loss. They get to meet the same team, fully rested. Prepared....

A lot was said about how the fineness Sens went physical and beat the Rangers at their own game. Lets see them turn that around

I think we all agree with this. Hopefully Gabby can assert some of his elite status and get this done.

Weather it's Stepan or Christ just pick a guy and let them play 10 games together. Chemistry can be cultivated where there is skill and will.

McDonagh27 12-08-2010 10:05 PM

I'm going to this one.. Last 5 times I have seen them live, they are 5-0. :yo: so this game is a lock for the Rangers:sarcasm:

I was thinking the same thing when I saw that quote. Torts has taken a few media shots at Gaborik as well (blaming him for the shorthanded goal on Sunday, a couple of comments about "I didn't notice our superstar"). Torts has done this before (Lecavalier), but it doesn't seem like Gabby is reacting particularly well to it.

I'd love to see Torts match up a center with a winger on each line. He would still be able to mix up the other wingers when he wanted to change it up, but that would give some consistency as well. Something like:

X- Stepan- Gaborik
Dubinsky- Anisimov- X
Avery- Drury- X
X- Boyle- Prust

Callahan, Fedotenko, Christensen, White, Frolov and Boogie can be worked in on the lines however Torts sees fit.

nyr5186 12-08-2010 10:55 PM

I would really like to see these lines...

Dubinsky-Stepan-Gaborik
Frolov-Anisimov-Callahan
Avery-Boyle-Prust
Fedotenko-Christensen-Boogard

We need to get Frolov and Anisimov going. Maybe playing on a line with the ultra-aggressive Callahan can rub off on them.

Plus I like the idea of Duby with Gaborik. They're our two best offensive weapons, and they should be given a real shot together.

Riche16 12-08-2010 10:55 PM

Need to turn this around and get back to hard hitting, gritty winning!!!

NYRangers16 12-08-2010 11:01 PM

Why is Avery on the 4th line behind Frolov? Maybe if he *****ed out torts to the media he'd be higher...sigh. Also, Gabby's quote is a little snippy..

The loss last game was pathetic - should have been an easy win ...we better kick butt this game. 5-1 win goals by Gabby Cally MDZ Anisimov and Gabby again. Fisher will get the one for OTT.

WPGNYRFan 12-08-2010 11:17 PM

I missed 3 games while on vacation, so I'm ready for this one! LGR!
