RDS is reporting Weber, Pyatt and Boyd as healthy scratches. Spacek, and Gomez will be playing. Apparently Gomer is playing with Gio and Pacs.

Go habs go!

EDIT: You got the gomer part already.

Fel 96 12-15-2010 01:21 PM

^that's actually some good news

It wouldnt have been as bad if AK and Darche were to swap places...then it looks more acceptable with moen on the 2nd

Pouliot - Eller - AK would be sick IMO

Go :habs Go

Also read that Eller's parents have made the trip and will be watching their 1st game at the Bell Centre, hope he scores one

Good luck to Patches as well

CrAzYNiNe 12-15-2010 01:42 PM

I hope AK plays all heart to get off that line, sigh the doghouse better not be pointless like it often is

I can see him having a very solid start and not being on that line for long.

Mind you playing with Halpern isn't horrible either and Lapierre's forecheck might open up some shooting lanes for him.

Bullsmith 12-15-2010 01:53 PM

This is gonna be a loooooooong month of adversity for les boys. REALLY WISH we hadn't laid that egg in Toronto, because every W is going to be a battle pretty much till ... well into the new year.

Go habs Go.

habtastic 12-15-2010 01:54 PM

why IS AK in the alleged doghouse? He's been playing great, no worse than anyone else and better than many. Is JM actual mad at him or is there a reason he thinks AK should be on that line and not with Pleky and Cammy (surely our best line).

Maybe, but it's the flyers, don't need Pleks and Camma to miss opportunities because of Moen.

Rutabaga 12-15-2010 01:57 PM

Lapierre must bring his A-game tonight.
He did well the last time we played them, but he needs to do more.

Not so sure about a line Pouliot-Eller-Kostitsyn. Seems risky, not really Martin-compatible.
AK is not in the doghouse i think, but Martin needs to have some talent on each line as Philly is a very solid team with a huge offensive depth.

Quickly thrown GDT today, please bear with possible typos/errors ;)

Well he had two bad games in a row (leading to people on this forum calling him lazy, useless and talking about how they can't wait until he's off the team), but I don't see how this is supposed to help him.

CareyClutch 12-15-2010 02:03 PM

I'm wondering if HF will turn into a warzone like the last meeting between the habs and the Flyers:laugh:

Pouliot - Eller - AK would be sick IMO

I was actually thinking the same thing. That would be, by far, our best 3rd line this season IMO.

Edit: It would also be great if we could find a replacement for Moen on the 1st/2nd line

That's the way I see it as well. Philly has lots of talent up front, so JM is trying to spread our around to try and match theirs.

Halpern has been good for us. Why not give him a top 6 forward and see what that combo could bring to our overall game tonight?

Hmmmm... :skeptic: hopefully they shoot high.

Stjonnypopo 12-15-2010 02:41 PM

Why does Martin have such a ***** over Moen. He's way too slow for a top-6 role, not to mention his offensive abilities, or lack thereof. I guess Martin is trying to send a message to AK, but he's not going to wake up by going on the 3rd line, we've seen it before. He needs to play with Plekanec.

Anyway, prediction: 9-1 Habs

Cammalleri
Plekanec
Eller
Eller
Darche
Plekanec
Cammalleri
Gionta
Pacioretty
