Rozsival has a ribcage injury

Quote:

First this news. Michal Rozsival suffered a ribcage injury. He is day to day. So Ryan McDonagh, who is making the trip to Dallas and St. Louis, could see some NHL action.

nyr2k2 01-05-2011 09:46 PM

Christ. So many injuries this year. Guess our past good luck is catching up.

Fitzy 01-05-2011 09:46 PM

-observes as McDonagh slips Rozy a 20 dollar bill

Loffen 01-05-2011 09:46 PM

The guys are dropping like flies. Dammit.

JeffMangum 01-05-2011 09:47 PM

Sather is a wizard. How did he know Rosi was injured? Unless....:sarcasm:

RangerBoy 01-05-2011 09:49 PM

On the bright side,Callahan had a good check up tonight and will begin skating this weekend.

lbrowne 01-05-2011 09:51 PM

Rosi will be missed on the roster for any game, hope you're ready kid - your chance could be soon.

Wraparounds 01-05-2011 09:55 PM

Oh goody. Now we get to see:

Staal - Girardi
Eminger - Sauer
McDonagh - Gilroy

Killem Dafoe 01-05-2011 09:56 PM

damn were like the islanders. but good.

asparkoflife 01-05-2011 09:59 PM

While this news sucks, that is great to hear

BlueshirtBlitz 01-05-2011 10:25 PM

The best part? We've been ***** by injuries yet have remained one of the better teams in the league.

Ail 01-05-2011 10:31 PM

I don't care if half the roster hits IR by February as long as they keep playing like tonight. :D

SkerZ 01-05-2011 10:36 PM

Wow these injuries are getting a little rediculous.... Saddle up McD looks like you will see some ice time:naughty:

Chimp 01-05-2011 10:40 PM

It's actually incredible we've managed so well considering all the injuries. This was the right year to have really good team depth.

SupersonicMonkey* 01-05-2011 10:43 PM

That was unexpectd news.

Hopefully McDonagh plays well. We need him for the future, anyway.

He can skate, he's tough, he's big, and he has puck skills.

If his positioning is solid, and he keeps it simple, he should be fine.

I would put him with Sauer or Eminger. Either one.

Just don't put him with Gilroy.

TrollololBoyle 01-05-2011 10:50 PM

Bring Up Valentenko!

TrollololBoyle 01-05-2011 11:00 PM

Injuries are a funny thing. The 2008 Yankees were slammed with injuries to key players like Posada and Wang, because of that they failed to even make the playoffs. The 2009 Yankees were virtually injury free and won the WS.

donpaulo 01-05-2011 11:04 PM

short term I don't think they miss Rozi so much, plus it gives us a nice look at a very young blueline for NY. I am looking forward to watching how the pairings work out and the coverage looks while on the road.

playing at Dallas and STL is going to be a tough set of games for sure

Dredden 01-05-2011 11:17 PM

He just doesnt want to get showcased to Dallas.:sarcasm:

TheDave1022 01-05-2011 11:56 PM

At least with all the injuries we are getting young players some ice time and still winning games

Florida Ranger 01-05-2011 11:58 PM

Hopefully the injuries come now and not later.
