2010-2011:
  • November 27, 2010 -- Travis Zajac scored the SO winner (2-1) in NJ's 2-1 home win. The Flyers led the shootout 1-0 when Nikolay Zherdev scored in the third round but Jason Arnott tied it. Johan Hedberg made 40 saves and was 3-for-4 in the shootout and was selected the game's top star. Danny Briere tied the game with a PPG midway in the third period. Philly held a 41-25 shots advantage including 28-11 combined in the second and third periods. The game totalled 10 PIMs. It was the second straight shootout loss for the Flyers in as many days leading Blair Betts to say “You can feel it (lack of passion). The atmosphere was light and there wasn’t enough emotion or intensity, even before we went on the ice. You kind of felt it yesterday against Calgary and it’s something we have to fix.” Highlights -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_RT9DRtKL4
  • December 4, 2010 --Mike Richards (1-1-2, +3), who scored the tie-breaking goal 3:37 into the third period, and Jeff Carter (1-2-3) were the game's top two stars in Philly's 5-3 home win. Sergei Bobrovsky made 23 saves including a key stop on Ilya Kovalchuk's breakaway with the score tied 2-2. Kovalchuk earlier scored his second goal in the past 17 games. The Devils' PP was 1-for-43 on the road but went 2-for-3 in this game including making the score 4-3 with 44 seconds to play. The Flyers' struggling PP went 0-for-3 and fell into a 2-for-41 slump. Philly dominated the second period 14-4 on shots and scored the lone goal to tie the game 2-2. In the third, the Flyers scored three times including Carter's ENG. • January 6, 2011 -- The line of Danny Briere (2-0-2), who scored twice in the third period, Scott Hartnell (2-0-2), who scored twice in the second period, and Ville Leino (0-3-3) who had a career-high three assists, combined for seven points and were named the top three stars in the Flyers' 4-2 win at N.J. Hartnell's second goal tied the game 2-2 with 1:06 remaining in the middle period. David Clarkson gave the Devils a 2-1 lead with 2:20 left in the second period, a goal confirmed by video replay after play had continued. Matt Carle added two assists. Brian Boucher made 18 saves and improved to 8-1-1, with a 2.07 GAA and .929 save percentage in his last 10 starts. Each team had 20 shots, Philly had a 7-2 advantage in the second period and the Devils had an 11-6 edge in the third period despite being out-scored 2-0. The Flyers had just two PIMs while the Devils had eight.

FlyersFanatic 01-07-2011 11:10 PM

Win. Ok? Thanks

Qubax 01-07-2011 11:13 PM

I really hope Bob starts this one...

I can understand Boucher getting a 60/40 split or 50/50 split, but I think Bob needs the rubber to develop...

Besides the Devils are pretty atrocious right now...it could be a good game to build his confidence back up...

orange and black48 01-07-2011 11:17 PM

How many plays will the Devils have featured in the not top ten this game?
But seriously, don't lose to this team...play 60 minutes.
LETS GO FLYERS!

Garbage Goal 01-07-2011 11:21 PM

This game should provide a good distraction from my family party. I really ****ing hate family parties.

StandingCow 01-07-2011 11:37 PM

Play hard guys, don't lose two points because we underestimated them!

BTW loving that deathmatch 2 ad on the bottom of the website.

flyersfan420 01-07-2011 11:41 PM

SnS 01-07-2011 11:47 PM

Missing the first period, I get done work at 2. I'll catch the rest, start off well and keep my girlfriend quiet tomorrow.

Let's go Flyers!

Sawdalite 01-08-2011 12:30 AM

Snow headed in... attending game hoping driving is good... Smell a trap Game possibility if team lets down their guard and intensity a bit; hope that's not the case... First Home Game after Holiday and long trip that they got on an even keel after a bad last Home Game and crummy after long Holiday first Road Game... relief after facing stiff competition and beating an easy one only to face the last team in the NHL once again before heading on road for a brutal stretch again.

Perfect sandwich game to look rotten in... Don't let it happen, Guys... Make this snowy trek and welcome back matinee a joyous one... JUST DO IT!!!!

Justified 01-08-2011 01:44 AM

just win.

SolidSnakeUS 01-08-2011 02:56 AM

Another easy win I think.

Stockholm Syndrome 01-08-2011 04:43 AM

I get off work at 11am. Buying a brick of High Life on the way home. Plan on being sloshed by the time this starts.

Welcome to where time stands still, no one leaves and no one willl...

A little OT, but the opening solo in Sanitarium is probably the very first solo I ever learned on guitar some 15 years ago.

Anyway, LETS GO :flyers

SolidSnakeUS 01-08-2011 05:01 AM

I know Boosh won on Thursday, but I'd love to see Bob get some time on the ice.

Do yourself a favor, get Yuengling Lager instead if you don't want to spend much.

I usually don't get cheap beer (way too many awesome microbrews around) but I always buy Amber Bock when I want piss water that is still decent.

I'd much rather have that. Unfortunately, my cousin and a few friends are coming over, and they said they wanted High Life. I'm fine with it, knowing I'm only drinking it to get drunk. Still, damn heathens.

This is most likely. And I am quite sure you have 20 bucks for a couple of pizzas.
