JANUARY SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

Obviously it’s a great feeling to secure the win for the team, but Hank saved three shots. He’s a big key for us.
Other guys stepped up and ground out a road win.
- Mats Zuccarello

It’s so good for our confidence. We know we can do it. The key is not to open up.
Sooner or later, we’ll create chances and find a way to score. A lot of time it’s confidence.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We kept it relatively simple in the zone, it was a solid road game.
- Marc Staal

Heads Up: The GDT is a work in progress.

Loffen 01-08-2011 12:16 AM

Halak's play has regressed a little bit and they're missing some key guys.

Play solid D and take it from there.

Nosferatos 01-08-2011 12:18 AM

It'll be a though game, but I think we can take it.

Go Zuke and Rangers!

silverfish 01-08-2011 12:19 AM

Let's get back on track in these second games of back to back nights. Gonna be tough for the team. Late game tonight going into tomorrow.

Assuming Biron gets the start too.

LETS GO RANGERS

JeffMangum 01-08-2011 12:21 AM

I really hope this game doesn't turn out like the last one. It was like watching a baseball game it was so boring.

Blatant 01-08-2011 12:22 AM

I would assume Biron gets the start, but I want Lundy to get the start. He's been playing great lately. Let him keep going. We have 2 days off after tomorrow.

Yeah, that was a terrible game. We couldn't create anything. The team, as a whole, looks better now than it did back in November though.

And Oshie, MacDonald and Perron are all injured. That is a nice bonus for us this time around. Halak's play has cooled off as well.

broadwayblue 01-08-2011 12:39 AM

Can Hank keep his point scoring streak alive? lol

Two points, plx.

lgr.

Screw You Rick Nash 01-08-2011 02:33 AM

Well I probably won't be watching this game. J-E-T-S! Why will they make the time of this game the same time as the Jets game?

Haha when you said 'last one' for a lil while I thought you meant tonight's game. I'm like wtf, that game wasn't boring. Then I read the baseball part of the sentence and realised there's no baseball in January.

Anyways ... 1 point please and I'll be happy. 2 points would be gravy.

LGR

AJRanger 01-08-2011 05:55 AM

I'd imagine Biron will start as I'd always assumed he'd get one of these games. That said... let Hank's role continue.

Zucca 01-08-2011 06:48 AM

Great work, once again Loffen!

Must admit I fell asleep during last nights game, hopefully this one will keep me awake. I guess Torts will play Biron tonight too, and Im perfectly fine with it. Time for Gaborik to show up..... whats up with him?
I do have a dream of a Rangers game where our guys scores more than two goals, hopefully it will happen again soon.........

TheRedressor 01-08-2011 09:55 AM

Great Job Loffen!!!

LGR!!!!

AJRanger 01-08-2011 09:58 AM

Says alot about Cally that he still leads the team in hits despite being out a while.

cenas* 01-08-2011 10:05 AM

This could be a brutal game.. Staal and Girardy with 30 minutes a night before? Ouch. Major props if they can even get a point out of this one.

Loffen 01-08-2011 10:06 AM

^^ No problem guys.

It does.

I've been re-watching most of the games lately (snagging up highlights) and Cally looks to finish the hit every single time, especially on the forecheck. His hits aren't huge, but effective.

Big Boyle is closing in on him now, though. He has 126.

SouvenirCity 01-08-2011 10:36 AM

Trap game. Gotta come out flyin'. LGR!

Hanke 01-08-2011 10:57 AM

Hey guys kind of random but how did McD play last night I missed the game.

Lets win and go 10 games over .500!

LGR!!

I Am Chariot 01-08-2011 11:13 AM

Nice GDT

Lets hope the Blues don't bore us into a coma tonight

He had some rough moments, but considering the type of game he got thrown into, very fast paced, gritty, tough shift after shift he did "ok" first game in the NHL. He didnt get a whole lot of minutes. I think Staal and Girardi both had career high minutes last night.

brfeldman 01-08-2011 11:20 AM

and the goal wasn't his fault. hank mishandled the puck which put him in a bad position

WhatThePuck 01-08-2011 11:22 AM

Leafs scored 5 against the Blues in their last game,I have a feeling we're going to have to do the same if we want to win this game.
LGR !!
