Iggy And Regher To Mtl?

According to the team990, the habs have looked into acquiring regher and iginla. cammalleri has made a push for this to happen. with the improvement of Sergie Kostitsin some teams believe that his big brother Andrei just needs a new start. the habs would have to pay alot to get these two and the habs do have the prospects to help calgary to rebuild.

to Montreal
Iginla and Regher

to Calgary
A.Kostitsin
Maxwell
Louis Leblanc
Tinordi
1st

:handclap:

I don't see this happening and I don't think there is a chance of it happening. Iginla is not going anywhere, neither is Regehr.

Lock it please :)

Zaide 01-17-2011 08:26 PM

No.
Gomez+Spacek for Iginla+Regehr.
Seems to work cap wise, and seems to give both teams assets they need.
:sarcasm:

We would receive a much better package than that or they would not be moved.

Why would calgary want or need Kostitsyn?(SP?)

Roof Daddy 01-17-2011 08:27 PM

Uh, cap???

Man Bear Pig 01-17-2011 08:27 PM

Feaster has said it a hundred times already, Iggy is going nowhere.

FLAMES666 01-17-2011 08:29 PM

 Montreal could not afford them, it would involve two 1st rounders, eller and probably a couple other good prospects (Leblanc, Kristo)

No thanks. And it is HIGHLY unlikely that Iginla and Regehr get moved in the same deal.

lol. In before lock.

bigdrew99 01-17-2011 08:35 PM

leblanc is going to be a top line center in the years to come, tinordi is a monster and also will be a top shut down dman for many years, maxwell is a great 2 way player that needs a shot and calgary can give that to him andrei can be a 30 goal scorer and every body knows that when a player leaves montreal they become stars or very solid players. look at sergie kostitsin in nashville. d'agostini in st-louis grabovski in toronto.
they will get a regher player in tinordi and a top player forward in leblanc. also were the habs are going to site in this years draft probably 20th draft picks like ty rattie, mayfield and NAMESTNIKOV can be available for calgary. calgary needs to rebuild and this is an opportunity for them to do so. they will get a top 10 pick this year and if the habs give away there 1st they can get another solid pick at 20th and have key components for a great rebuild.

YogiCanucks 01-17-2011 08:37 PM

I think this would be a perfect trade for Montreal. They've already got a team that can win on low run support. Add Iggy to the mix and they are laughing.

They would not accept that offer, Plain and Simple.

KingBuzzo 01-17-2011 08:41 PM

Iggy is a franchise player and I honestly think he will retire a Flame.

Coach Parker 01-17-2011 08:41 PM

Talk about a crappy offer...

Why would Clagary take that offer? Seriously, does any Flames fan at all think that is a good offer?

LMAO that package wont even get you Regehr.

caley 01-17-2011 08:46 PM

I think if Montreal was interested in Iginla and Regehr, the discussion would begin with either of Carey Price or P.K. Subban's names.

Leblanc, Tinordi and a 1st alone would easily get Regehr. Easily.

uh, no. If that were for Regehr, FLames would take it and run.

Bourne Endeavor 01-17-2011 08:53 PM

I more likely package for both Iginla and Regehr would consist of...

Eller
LeBlanc
First Round pick 2011
Second Round Pick 2012
Hamrlik/Kostitsyn (Calgary later moves them at the deadline for a pick)

Might still have to add Tinordi or another pick. Regardless, while it will not happen. It would be ideal for Montreal.

If you believe Regehr alone is worth move than the TC offered. Be grateful you are not the GM otherwise the Flames would go nowhere, ever. That is overpayment.

DrChill 01-17-2011 08:54 PM

Iggy and Regher to Montreal is a great Idea.

Canadian_Brewtality 01-17-2011 08:55 PM

the flames wouldnt take stud prospects (leblanc, tinordi) + 1 st + kostitsyn for 2 solid players? and lets be honest, getting older slower and expensive.

they are very good assets on a team with cup aspirations. Last time i checked flames need a rebuild.

as a habs fan, i would never do this trade.
