Brodie Dupont Recalled

I don't have a link to confirm this. I just heard Torts say it during the post game press conference.

redfzn 01-19-2011 10:12 PM

yes, it's true. no link but torts confirmed during his post-game presser.

Brodie Dupont also recalled from Connecticut.

Entire Connecticut Whale team called up to replace injured Rangers. All jokes aside this is brutal.

Punxrocknyc19* 01-19-2011 10:14 PM

i hope he gets his first nhl game. i wonder if he can be a 4th line winger that can kill penalties. a bigger version of prust..he never really got much attention.

asparkoflife 01-19-2011 10:17 PM

Im a big Brodie dupont fan. he fits the team perfectly. good bottom 6 guy.

JeffMangum 01-19-2011 10:18 PM

Meh. I'd rather Kolarik play, he has talent.

Ail 01-19-2011 10:19 PM

The Whale is getting owned.

Brendan Shanahan 01-19-2011 10:20 PM

Connecticut Whale fans are crying right now with all these callups. Lord.

New York RKY 01-19-2011 10:23 PM

The Whale have Wade Redden they'll be fine

XLJ 01-19-2011 10:23 PM

I guess Dupont is getting called up to be the extra forward. I would think Kolarik replaces Fedotenko in the lineup.

I would tend to agree, but I want a look at Dupont. He's served well in Connecticut.

17futurecap 01-19-2011 10:26 PM

Could always sit Weise, and play Dupont and Kolarik.

BlueshirtBlitz 01-19-2011 10:28 PM

Soon enough, Ken G. will be called up to replace an injured Torts.

Top_Shelf_Shooter 01-19-2011 10:30 PM

So much for calling up Grachev....:(

So at least unlike the Devils injuries don't slow this team down..... there is depth for once in a long time.

Grachev has a nice streak going in the A, it's probably best they don't mess with that. He has confidence issues and right now scoring a buttload no matter where it is will be helpful for his development. Personally I am glad they didn't call him up.

They should send Weise back down if he's not needed. Love Dupont getting the call.

What position has Dupont been playing? Whale website has him listed at LW.

Don't worry, Grachev will be called up next game :shakehead

Good opportunity to check out Dupont if he is worth keeping or not.

I think LW most recently. Can't be too sure.

Man I bet MDZ is in Hartford bashing his head against the wall given that we are missing so many forwards that even Brodie Dupont is getting a shot with the big club, while somehow our D corps remains totally intact!

Don't speak too soon, eminger didn't look good on the bench after orr tried to ax his hand off.

Edit: eminger says he's fine

asparkoflife 01-19-2011 11:35 PM

I think people underrate Dupont. He will fit really well in this style and can be good as a replacement type player for Feds.
