Perhaps that Eastern team is Ottawa, in that the Globe and Mail is reporting today that the Sens are in full rebuild mode.

Also just saw that Ottawa is officially in "blow it up and start over" mode...maybe we can poach something nice from them.

Yes, I heard from a Guy who claims his barber knows the guy who cuts Brian Murray's garbageman's hair that the Jackets have a deal in place to trade Kallio, Odelein and Tugnutt for Spezza. This is on the down low, so please don't let anyone know.

If the "source" says that a Western team is sitting on a monster deal, it HAS to be Columbus, after all, who sits on deals more and is more patient than our GM? :sarcasm:

I've heard a similar rumor, but the rumor I've heard involves us trading Mathieu Corbeil-Theriault straight accross for Martin Brodeur. Apparently, the Devils are in rebuilding mode, and they see Corbeil-Theriault as their complete savior.

Martin Brodeur will then come in and completely implode, getting beat out for next year's starting job by Steve Mason, who goes on and puts up a 89% save percentage while going 11-71, being the only goaltender to start all 82 games for his team.

I wonder whether Edmonton will trade Hemský and Penner. Or someone from the couple Cogliano/Brulé (I would take Bru back but it is because he is one of my favourite players ;) ).
And whether Brian Burke will finally trade Kaberle. :D

Those deals are f***ing stupid.

First, the Stars aren't going to make a trade of that magnitude when they're playing that well. Second, the first one is just stupid beyond words. The value is so terrible.

If the Stars made that trade I would apply for their GM job, because Nieuwendyk would be out on his ass

Sucj trades can be only Eklund.
For Dallas it is absolutely inconvenient trade.

The second trade.... I do not know nobody know as the injury influences Parise. But Tedenby is better than Borque. So not too good for NJD IMO.

Can we now legally kill Eklund with a shovel?....I'm pretty sure we can.
