Claude....no respects

Does anybody else here feel that "G" will be the last pick tomorrow? He doesn't seem to get the respect that he deserves, thus his inappropriate selection. We as Flyers know his skill and value and good on the team that picks him. He is such a good player and his superior play makes me gush, it is a joke that he doesn't get the props he desreves, but F*(k it Flyers Rule and nobody likes a winner Go Flyers Go

flyersguy33* 01-27-2011 08:40 PM

nope, he will get picked in the middle rounds

Mgkibbles 01-27-2011 08:43 PM

I actually think he'll go fairly high.

CharlieGirl 01-27-2011 09:03 PM

Agreed -- I think he'll be middle to lower middle of the pack. Definitely will get picked before Kessel.

McNasty 01-27-2011 09:04 PM

I imagine he'll go before Backes, Stastny, and Elias

OriginJM 01-27-2011 09:07 PM

Yeah, fans of opposing teams may not appreciate him as much but the people he plays with on a daily basis understand his skill more than all of us. He'll be a hot pick.

King Forsberg 01-27-2011 09:09 PM

He should be a captain.

Giroux tha Damaja 01-27-2011 09:19 PM

The Giroux being underrated meme is getting really tired. They haven't even drafted yet and you're *****ing that he got snubbed. HE'S IN THE ALL-STAR GAME. How underrated can he really be.

My guess is that there will be a lot of respect given to veterans with regard to draft order. I wouldn't be too surprised to see respected veteran who is having a worse year, say Elias for example, go before him.

King Forsberg 01-27-2011 09:44 PM

Even if he does go last, it'll just fire him up even more

Juicy Couturier* 01-27-2011 09:55 PM

How can the only player selected to go to the all-star game from the best team in the NHL be underrated?
Briere was a replacement, not an original selection.

BrindamoursNose 01-27-2011 09:58 PM

Not at all. Claude does everything.

mja 01-27-2011 10:07 PM

Given the type of player Claude is, he might go pretty quickly. It's a skills competition essentially, and he's fancier than 95% of the rest of the guys there.

MsWoof 01-27-2011 10:10 PM

This is just the silliest thread ever. You've made a thread based on what may or may not happen and you're mad about it. He isn't going to be picked first or last and even if he was picked last, who cares? He's there.

Jester 01-28-2011 12:39 AM

I probably won't watch a minute of this stuff... who cares where Giroux gets picked in a contrived fantasy draft for an exhibition game?

usahockey22flyers 01-28-2011 12:40 AM

I hope Karlsson goes last lol

Giroux tha Damaja 01-28-2011 12:45 AM

Kessel. There's your last pick.

ShawnTHW 01-28-2011 12:59 AM

NO RESPECT AT ALL....

(ya, thats right, I boo ya'd)

StandingCow 01-28-2011 01:32 AM

I say he goes in the middle round.

A lot of people, apparently.

The top headline on TSN earlier was how Perry thinks he'll get picked last because he's an agitator. Not the "a" word I'd use, but I guess there's people out there who care?

chaosof99* 01-28-2011 02:05 AM

Elias, Backes, Stastny or Kessel will go last. Giroux will go somewhere in the middle rounds.

ShawnTHW 01-28-2011 02:12 AM

All-Star games were cool back when you were 10 years old.

They are the joke of all sports.

I can't believe people still watch this stuff.

No other hockey on, hey I will probably watch it. *shrug*
