Fowler at #7.. donno if i really agree with a couple but eh..

Definitely think Fowler should be higher(top-4), and not sure why they have Couture over Skinner, Skinner's the clear fav right now IMO.

Fowler won't finish above 3rd unless he scores at least a point in every game remaining.

Ducks DVM 01-31-2011 01:33 AM

Fowler has to get an even or higher +/- as well. He's just way too low for Calder consideration (save the +/- validity discussion, -13 just isn't good enough)

its a shame the best the Ducks can do is pair him with a slug like Lilja they get scored on more regularly affecting his +-

Mine would be this:

Skinner
Bobrovsky
Fowler
Couture
Hall
Carlson
Stepan
Eberle

If Fowler starts skating with a defensemen, say like Chris Phillips, then I think he could do a lot better in the last half of the season. That is if we acquire Chris Phillips.

I think Bobrovsky is a product of the team in front of him. Look at how good the Flyers made Leighton (a third string goalie) look down the stretch and in the playoffs last year. The team is completely stacked.

I agree to an extent, but if he, say, ends up leading all rookies(and not just defensemen) in assists, there has to be some consideration, regardless of +/-.

maybe so.. but stats are stats.. to me it would be bobrovski/skinner/couture/carlson in my top 4.. fowler bouncing around 5-6

having hall up there imo is bad... he hasnt been that amazing and the only reason he's up that high is because of the hype of him bein 1st overall

He may be a slug but he's the best option available. Sbisa maybe, but it's kinda risky having 2 rookies on your 2nd pairing. Sutton is awful as a #4 and don't even get me started on Mara. Brookbank as a top 4? No thanks. Lilja is not a top 4 no question but he's the best option availabe right now.
