Who is your team's salary dump?

I've seen a lot of trade proposals on here that include a "salary dump" in brackets, and often that player is not even close to being a salary dump in reality.

Come the deadline, who would you consider a salary dump on your team? Please include the salary and years remaining if possible...

EDIT: OK so far...

Toronto: Komisarek

Oilers: Horcoff, Souray

Philly: Shelley, Carcillo

Rangers: Drury

Boston: Ryder

San Jose: Huskins, Wallin, Mitchell

New Jersey: Elias, Rolston

Anyone else?

MoreMogilny 01-31-2011 03:04 PM

Mike Komisarek.

Cap hit: $4.5M for 3 more seasons after this one.

2010-2011 Salary: $6M
2011-2012 Salary: $5.5M
2012-2013 Salary: $3.5M
2013-2014 Salary: $3.5M

PADevil3034 01-31-2011 03:07 PM

Just looking at the cap, I'd say Rolston at $5M and Elias at $6M.

But, they've been playing stupendously of late

oilerplanet 01-31-2011 03:10 PM

Oilers say: Horcoff, Soury, Strudwick.

I say: hell take the whole team, minus a few

JVR21 01-31-2011 03:11 PM

Shelley, Carcillo perhaps

Leighton and Walker are in the AHL, but I'm sure Mr. Snider doesn't want to be spending money on them.

mike komisarek

Brian Boyle 01-31-2011 03:15 PM

Chris Drury: 7.05 m for 1 more season after this.

8m
5m

Strudwick isn't a salary dump. Unless you think his $725K salary is holding our team back from signing a big name.

Rangers = Cap'n 4 Assists.

Our other one is the team chaperone in the AHL during road trips, but, out of sight is out of mind.

oilers92 01-31-2011 04:05 PM

khabi
horcoff
sourey
foster?

TYayo 01-31-2011 04:09 PM

Lecavalier would soon have to be on this wouldn't he?
24 Goals last year..8 goals this year...both while making 10 million each year...(7.7cap hit) and a LOT more years to go

Confound 01-31-2011 04:17 PM

Micheal Ryder for the Bruins.

hockeyball 01-31-2011 04:24 PM

Sharks:

Huskins (1.7m, UFA end of season)
Wallin (2.5m, UFA end of season, NTC)
Mitchell (1.4m, UFA in 2012)

That's about it, Shark's are not real bad off with any contract. Those are the only players we might 'dump' for little to no return.

Kschey 01-31-2011 04:28 PM

Noone on the Avs.
Well, okay. I guess Matt Hunwick at a cap hit of 1,45 million $ just because he sucks.

He won't be dumped though because Sacco seems to be in love with him.

Cool Hand Luke 01-31-2011 06:39 PM

Bump

HooliganX2 01-31-2011 06:56 PM

I may be in the minority for Blues fans but

McDonald at a 4.7 million cap hit
Boyes 4 million cap hit.

They both are decent but IMO over paid by 500,000-1 million a year.

LosT_PropheT 01-31-2011 06:58 PM

Malkin. :sarcasm:

Mystlyfe 01-31-2011 07:09 PM

Whoever we're upgrading/replacing. :sarcasm:

I agree, but only over paid by 500,000 ? Add another 1 mill to each

Mathradio 01-31-2011 07:21 PM

Habs:

Spacek
Gomez
Hamrlik?
Gill

Paul4587 01-31-2011 07:21 PM

Blake and Sutton. I think that's about all, maybe Lupul although if he bounces back from his injury and regains his 25 goal form he's not too badly overpaid.

BBSeabs27 01-31-2011 07:21 PM

Nick Boynton, Jordan Hendry, John Scott, Ryan Johnson for the hawks

We love Gill for his playoff excellence and Gomez is impossible to trade. Salary dumps would be...

Roman Hamrlik
Jaroslav Spacek
Andrei Kostitsyn

In that order.

SwedeSpeedBackstrom 01-31-2011 07:52 PM

Michael Nylander plays in Finland I think, so we don't have one right now. Tom Poti doesn't make enough to where it's unbearable.

this isn't about if they're actually tradeable. If you could trade them, would you for salary purposes. Gomez falls into that category.

The Canucks have no salary dumps. Mikael Samuelsson comes to mind but he's a playoff performer anyways and a guy with experience and a locker room guy we'd like to keep around and he's not that expensive. But yeah, if I had to pick, him.
