McCabe: 6-8 weeks with a broken jaw.
Matthias: 4-6 (right?) with ankle injury.
Dadanov: a month with broken finger.

Lots of broken bones lately.

It's almost as if the hockey gods are ensuring Tallon sells off players at the deadline.

If this happened a month ago, I'd be very upset, but if you're hoping for the team to tank for the rest of the season, this is some of the best news you could expect to hear. Thankfully, it's only a broken finger and won't affect any long-term issues.

Read this and the post above this one. It's a broken finger, nothing affecting his game in the long run. I think this is a message from the hockey gods. They're telling us to rest dadonov so he can fully recover from his ankle injury and so we can get another high pick in the draft since we're more than a few games out of the final spot.

Holy crap. I'm not the only one who thinks that. I've been saying that for years.

Edit: Apparently others know the truth as well.

The fact that they haven't been leading us up to this point (yes leading in a lot of point categories but not really doing anything spectacular) is the reason we are where we are. These are supposed to be some of our best players and they have not been playing up to their abilities.

I understand the issue with losing McCabe, but if losing Matthias and Dadanov breaks us, we were already broken.

This could be one of the most meaningless season ends to watch.
