Ryan White Called Up

No real surprise here, I expected it to happen after last nights game. Don't know how much of a difference it will make though.

Official release.

pine* 02-10-2011 09:17 AM

a day too late.

Ryan White

per Renaud Lavoie Twitter.

Guess it's a reaction to yesterday's game, even though I don't see tonight's game be nearly as agitated

andy28 02-10-2011 09:18 AM

The thing about this is, I mean...

Ryan White is our answer???? I think it's great that he plays a spirited game, but this coming after getting smacked down last night....lets bring up White. Yeah thatll scare em.

That Habs Fan 02-10-2011 09:18 AM

He can play and throw em, just what we need, and he didn't cost anything

Hope he stays up for the rest of the year

WestIslander 02-10-2011 09:19 AM

LOVE IT! This kid needs to stay up here and finish the season with the team and in the playoffs as well.

Bleu Blanc Rouge 02-10-2011 09:19 AM

24 hours later.

GoodKiwi 02-10-2011 09:20 AM

Probably replaces Tommy Pyatt who is busy getting a face lift. :sarcasm:

Is this a muscle tactic? I think we should stick with what we have until the deadline. Cammalleri will be back shortly. I think if Montreal is going to get toughness it will have to be through the TDL.

Besides all the fighting last night, that is what playoff hockey is going to be like. Kind of reminded me a bit of the Flyer's series last playoffs. Outmuscled a bit, but we didn't back down.

It will be like this for the playoffs everynight. I don't personally mind the call up, just don't think its going to make a big difference. Unless someone is hurt up front again?

TheBuriedHab 02-10-2011 09:21 AM

Great, but if thats there only answer for toughness we are still in trouble. We need a couple more tough guys that can also play. Neil and Allen would be a nice start.

swimmer77 02-10-2011 09:21 AM

Maybe it something more to do with Gomez?

Ha-ha, are you serious? Last night's game was nothing like playoff hockey.

coolasprICE 02-10-2011 09:22 AM

I would of called Alex Henry and put him on the Wing

Vonlindner 02-10-2011 09:24 AM

White called up?

I suppose Jacques Martin is going to tell him that his role is to make sure that what happened last night never happens again?

I feel so much better knowing that White's toughness is going to help us go through the playoffs...

MTL-rules 02-10-2011 09:26 AM

Eller send down ?

Darche is banged up.

googlymoogly 02-10-2011 09:29 AM

A back to back game with so much emotion last night could use a fresh player in the lineup. Should of called up Engqvist as well.

Patty Roy 02-10-2011 09:29 AM

Good first step, but not nearly enough.

Hopefully he replaces Pyatt.

Eller should be sent down once Cammalleri is ready to go.

shutehinside 02-10-2011 09:31 AM

White can and should take Pyatt's place in the line up on every night. I like Pyatt's heart but it only gets you so far. White will be a great addition and add some life to the team.

Now if only Gomez can pull his head out of his ass long enough to back up his talk.

Was thinking this too. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

barring a trade... what other options do the Habs have?
none

Gary320 02-10-2011 09:35 AM

I'm hoping that Eller gets sent down so he can get some more playing time. This is once Cammalleri returns.

But yeah off-topic. Ryan White won't change the dynamics of the team, but he will help... somewhat.

That Habs Fan 02-10-2011 09:41 AM

I would love to see Henry called up in exchange for Picard

With the makeup of our team putting Henry in instead of Weber for games against the Bruins/Flyers, etc... would do wonders
