Journal de Montréal no more in lockout!

JdM accepted the latest offer, after what... two years of lock-out. Not sure if I should be happy or not

SergeConstantin74 02-27-2011 12:04 AM

It was 64%... Still a lot of unhappy people.

Fel 96 02-27-2011 12:07 AM

RIP Rue Frontenac... Too bad, I liked that site.

SergeConstantin74 02-27-2011 12:08 AM

PKP won... I don't think it's good for them.

Whitesnake 02-27-2011 12:10 AM

Don't have the stats in hand, but it says that 60 people are going back to the JdeM...how many lost their jobs 2 years ago?

The Russian General 02-27-2011 12:47 AM

Rue Frontenac will continue.

:phew:

Good news then!

Munchausen 02-27-2011 08:17 AM

Disgraceful what Quebecor did. Too bad the JdeM people never got the public support they deserved, might have helped their cause. PKP is a tiran. I'm boycoting as much as I can from his dark empire. Can't wait 'til he associates himself with the Nordiques, the hate will live on.

Even when the sports journalists were there , there were no good reasons to read JdM instead of La Presse , La Presse is just more interesting and complete. When the sports journalist were gone the JdM remind me of a magazine , lots of pictures and lots of small ''quickly-made'' articles. Not to mention they have Richard Martineau while La Presse has Foglia , Boivert and lots of other ''chroniqueurs''.

La Presse?
André Pratte, Yves Boisvert, Lagacé, Réjaune.

I'm not reading Desmarais puke.

Kriss E 02-27-2011 12:05 PM

JdeM sucks horribly.

Pratte and Réjaune are annoying, but Boisvert is... really awesome.

Insipidity is what resume Boisvert but to La Presse credits, there's Mathias Brunet, Marissal and Foglia who are awesome.

Pretty much. I guess I wouldn't stand JdM if La Presse was less filled with biased propagandists of an editorial staff. I really find despicable how many media depicts PKP as the evil propagandist millionnaire (while the worst thing he did was doing media convergence and being harsh on his unions), while they completely give a pass to Desmarais's activities in the political field, always supported by his papers... like having Pr. Sarkozy in his pocket.

Funny...
Î really, really dislike Marissal, a pure propagandist... You don't even have to read what he writes : just look at the subject, and you'll know the content of it.

Mathias Brunet is the best French media guy in hockey, though. He cracks down a bit too much on violence in hockey, even if I agree with him in roughly 70% of the cases.
