Apparently the NHL got lazy too and decided not to put the highlights of the Stars vs Sharks game up on YouTube. :help: So decided to stick in Demers punching a ref in its place.

Alistar 03-07-2011 10:30 AM

I don't have a great feeling about tonight, Los Angeles (a team that has always given Dallas fits) adding Dustin Penner (a player that has always given Dallas fits) seems like a match made in hell for the Stars.

Then again we beat LA pretty convincingly last time around, mabye they have another one in them :)

jlew 03-07-2011 10:37 AM

Just stopping by to say F the kings.

Ambassador Of Fun 03-07-2011 11:18 AM

LA sucks. Hopefully the league sent down a memo to watch the Kings for dives after Doughty pussed things up on Saturday. I expect Steve Ott to thrive in this game. This is where he is most useful. LA seems like a team that can get rattled, much like Anaheim was.

Caseman 03-07-2011 01:23 PM

Swan Queen, starring Dustin Brown

It will be quite seductive, I'm sure

piqued 03-07-2011 02:03 PM

I am extremely tickled that you went through with this title.

I see you folks hate it as much as we do when Ribeiro takes a dive. :)

Brown is awesome at keeping his feet moving and drawing penalties, isn't he? It all depends on your POV or the team you root for, huh?

Good luck the rest of the season against whichever teams we need you to win against. You guys have had a great run without Richards in the lineup. Kudos.

Feet moving huh?

I'm all for supporting players being smart and putting other players in bad positions to draw a call, but there's a difference between "keeping your feet moving" and walking into a guy then flopping on the ice.

Stars99Lobo37 03-07-2011 04:46 PM

I will support any Stars players diving away when Dustin Brown is around them tonight....just saying.

(everything updated go stars go)

No hate for the team, just hate for diving/unsportsmanlike behaviour.

The feeling is mutual for Ribiero/Ott...

As a transplant, I adopted the LA Kings as my hockey team of choice in SoCal. But that first game in LA this season left a bitter taste in my mouth. My respect for Brown, who used to be my favorite non-Star, is at an all-time low.

Still prefer the Kings to the Schmucks. Alot still needs to happen before that changes.

And the same applies for LA for me. But I think that's out of default (or at least because I hate/dislike so many other people on the other 3 teams). San Jose is by far, imo, our biggest Pacific rival. Anaheim hate has died down but I still hate them more than LA. Phoenix I just love beating because of Tippett and I hate Shane Doan.

As gin says above, that first game in LA was the worst taste I've had for a team following a game in a long time (and seeing the replays of it for the first time in 2011 really brings all the hate right back). I was more pissed off after that game than I was any of the fail Turco games.

Speak for yourself. LA has the cockiest fans for no particular good reason like previous success. LA is easily my 3rd least favorite team behind Detroit and San Jose. Doughty is a whiny *****, Brown is a diving *****, and Kopitar is overrated.
