If I wanted to make a rink in my basement like this

If I wanted to make a non-ice rink in my basement that allowed the puck to slide like it was on ice...

I'm wondering what kind of material that is for the surface? Acrylic? Nylon? Urethane?

mod note: I couldn't find a better sub-forum for this.

That stuff is probably HDPE sheets, if not actual Synthetic Ice (HDPE built a specific way). Do some searches on Synthetic Ice, there's plenty of threads about it here in the Rink. There's other stuff you could get away with but HDPE is the real deal (see: expensive.)

(This is the perfect forum to ask this, btw ;))

well if you dont want to skate on it, get some acrylic sheets, with pledge sprayed on them... puck slides
