Gil Gunderson 03-26-2011 11:37 PM

Hoping for Kirk Muller. Seems like a player's coach that can grow with the kids.

Frodo 03-26-2011 11:48 PM

Lindy Ruff please.

But I heard he said he was going to re-sign in Buffalo.

SevenOfSpades 03-27-2011 12:02 AM

Bill Belichick

Frodo 03-27-2011 12:07 AM

Todd Haley.

The Fuhr* 03-27-2011 12:08 AM

someone proven please

Spongetoe 03-27-2011 12:13 AM

Is Bob Knight available?

Apaharn 03-27-2011 12:22 AM

Mike Keenan.

The man has won a Stanley Cup so he is proven. :naughty:

Imagine his impact (since he always leaves his mark whenever he goes) and influence on our team. :sarcasm:

PatrickEaves 03-27-2011 12:32 AM

Ted Nolan.

Even though it's never going to happen.

Sens Rule 03-27-2011 12:40 AM

Scotty Bowman he is experienced and proven.

Keep Murray as GM. We have 100 years of hockey experience!

He is an absolutely outstanding coach, one of if not the best available, but I am guessing it will be someone else thanks to old politics with Nolan.

I am guessing it might be Bob Hartley or who knows there may be one out of left field. It will be interesting to find out all the same.

danishh 03-27-2011 01:39 AM

muller might be my first choice now.

hopefully the habs dont fire martin and promote him.

an interesting situation to watch is phoenix. Phoenix might not fire Tippett, but if the team moves, he may become available.

PCooper 03-27-2011 02:23 AM

I've been saying Pat Quinn since November.

I don't know if he'd be the best fit, but he's got my vote.

Polakdave 03-27-2011 03:13 AM

Quinn, svp

ben3001 03-27-2011 04:13 AM

Would love Kirk Muller

Out of all the rumoured names Dave Cameron is my worst fear. :(

Hartley signed a two-year deal with the Zurich Lions.

If Quinn is our coach it might be hard for me to be a Sens fan. I hate him more than every other Leafs person. I hate most him bringing up Hossa-Berard AFTER Hossa is not even on the Sens anymore. A Classless D-Bag IMO.

Caseus 03-27-2011 06:38 AM

Someone with proven coaching experience at the NHL level.

Promote Martin as GM and Muller to HC, that would be my guess.

The Turret 03-27-2011 06:50 AM

Give Gretzky another chance behind the bench? :naughty:

He'd be a good coach if you enjoy watching youth sit on the bench or scratched. Dude loves his vets.

OEL has been a healthy scratch lately
Despite Turris showing offensive ability is seen playing under 10 minutes a lot
MacLean is a healthy scratch or rarely used
Tippett was force to play Boedker a few weeks back around 13TOI when Whitney got hurt... until then he had the Turris treatment.

Not a coach I want to help the youth develop... it goes back to Dallas too, Eriksson was routinely 4th lined

I think he has shown he can work with youth and he is a very good coach.

He'd be a big asset when it comes to creating a team identity. Was great at creating that us against the world mentality in TO... type of mindset could pay off putting the team together.
