Unfortunately he can still use the time. I'd love to see him continue to grow and play at about 220-225.

CantbeatzPekka 03-30-2011 07:15 PM

Ya i don't see us in any way rushing him

Watson was at the Admirals game tonight. They clinched a playoff spot with a SO win by Atte Engren, 3-2 over San Antonio.

Whenever Watson stares into a mirror, he sees Smithson staring back.

You or somebody said that about geoffrion too. And even if true that's not exactly a disaster.

I know nothing about the kid but if he is going to weigh in at 225 I doubt he will play smithsons game

I'm excited to see what he can do, we always complain about not taking forwards in the first round, and we complain about not having big bodies... Watson meets both of those criteria, no need to write him off before he's even sniffed the NHL.

I think that was the point. Just like the Vold negative mojo in the game day threads.

Yes, it was a joke.

Honestly, I can't speak to Watson's abilities. Even going to camp, that's such a small sample and controlled environment.

Certainly from the outside (and Poile's history), it appears to be the 'safe' pick.
