We didn’t give up many chances to score. The PK was really good and the power play was really good, even though we didn’t score on it. I thought we did a really good job against a team that could be spoilers at this time of year."

I just gave it to him and he made a great shot. I just come in with the same attitude, and a checking mindset, and some things come naturally when you’re playing with a little more offensive guys. I’ve just got to keep going."

Great team, and it’s fun to play against a team like Vancouver. They’re very serious about business. They come to work in every game, and when you’re a group like we are, a young hockey team that played them last year in the playoffs, we hope that we’re getting better from last year. It’s a great opportunity to take a look at where you are, as a team, and continue with that rivalry. We have to be concerned about our own game, play the right way, and you give yourself the opportunity to win a game by doing things right for the 60 minutes."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the Teal bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Not even close to a must win game. Tonight would be a nice win, but don't plan the parade if the Kings win tonight and don't jump off a bridge if they lose.

Saturday’s game is infinitely more important than this game.

Oh yeah, first!

Alisa 03-31-2011 04:44 PM

But it is a "it'd be quite nice if we won this" game. If for nothing else than because it is so much fun to taunt Luoooongo. Go Kings Go!

DAkings20 03-31-2011 05:01 PM

This is a must game

Muzzinga 03-31-2011 05:06 PM

looking forward to this game because i have 0 expectations. Would be suprised if the Kings score, and if they kept the Nucks below 4. So anything better and id be happy

OK Computer 03-31-2011 05:07 PM

Vancouver's first home game coming off a road trip, just clinched the West, they will underestimate us without Kopi/Williams, Vancouver already avenged their two losses to us a few weeks ago so the revenge game is out of the way, and on top of it all, our team will not only step up because our star is down, but because I know for a fact they want to beat this Canucks team.

Basically, the Kings are winning tonight. I haven't been this confident against a good team in a while. 3-2 Kings.

Glad to see some confidence.. We would like to win this game, as a win tonight and a Philly loss clinches the President's Trophy. Really though, no real expectations here.. The Canucks have been on fire lately, allowing only 1 goal in each of their last 4 games and posting a 12-2-0 record in the month of March.

Hmm.. Looks like you guys have won your last 4 too, posting a 9-2-2 record in the month of March. Speaking on stats, maybe this will have a playoff vibe to it.

KingsKnight 03-31-2011 06:45 PM

I said in the pregame thread that I was more interested in how the team plays rather than the result, but the more I think about it I want this win. It would be a great statement to the league...we may not have our top scorers, but we'll still go toe to toe with the best team in the West/League.

Just kidding. Looking forward to another great LA-VAN game. Wish Kopi was playing. Good luck guys.

PS, Why is Loktionov such an awesome name?
PPS, Apologizing for any trolls that show...

salty justice 03-31-2011 06:57 PM

This is more of a measuring stick game than anything. I think the Kings will play it like a playoff game, and Vancouver will respond.

Win or lose it should be a good one.

I hope to see some of you at Bogey's tonight! Outside food is welcome and the Dodger and Laker games will also be on. But only the Kings game will have the volume on :yo::yo:
