Greening down

That is a load of anus, he is my new favorite prospect and I was stoked to watch him vs the leafs tomorrow. So, my top 4 favorite Sens in are Alfie, Karlsson, Spezza and Greening and tomorrow will have 1. Gee, you sure your not coming down with the flu Jason?

Tomorrow is gonna be a crap show to say the least. Even the tankers might have to turn their eyes away as the Leafs take us to the wood shed.

Ghost in the Shell 04-01-2011 02:58 PM

Meh, didn't have much choice. Condra or Greening had to go down- they were emergency recalls. It will help Greening adjust to linemates down in Bingo as well. Its not a bad thing, he's shown his stuff. Have a good finish down there and prove you can do it again in training camp next season.

A surprising decision. I was expecting Butler or Z Smith.

Most likely they are sending down the guy that fits the needs of Bingo more than the others... big, two way player, tough, etc..

SunGarrioch Colin Greening was sent down. Everybody relax. He was on emergency recall. They had no choice. #sens

There, don't get your panties in a knot.

Jared Cowen 2010 04-01-2011 03:06 PM

To make room for Da Costa?

exactly.

HappyDude 04-01-2011 03:14 PM

I would have expected Butler to go down as he has hit somewhat of a wall lately

N Bahn Ahden 04-01-2011 03:16 PM

Besides the fact that by rule he had to be sent down, this is fine. More help for Bingo.

L'Aveuglette 04-01-2011 03:17 PM

That's too bad. I would have loved to see Greening against the Leafs.

Minister of Offence 04-01-2011 03:23 PM

Much improved since coming up to the NHL. Christmas come a little early for BSens...probably best case scenario for them.

Their defense is a mess until Wiercioch-Hale go back down though...

Bileur 04-01-2011 03:36 PM

He was messing with the tank. That's what you get.

HockeyTownUSA 04-01-2011 03:43 PM

I get he was an emergency recall and all, but it really sucks when you are coming off a multiple goal game and 1st star and get sent down, this being the reason or not.

The Waffler 04-01-2011 03:59 PM

No Karlsson, no greening. If we play McBackup the tank resumes.

OmniSens 04-01-2011 04:05 PM

Oh well, hopefully he has a full time roster spot next season

Ya unless Kuba scores again...2-0 in like the last 78 games where he's scored.

True say.

Maciver63 04-01-2011 04:14 PM

A silver lining to this is that if Greening stayed in Ottawa the rest of the year, he would have hit 26 games, which would have made him inelegible for the Calder Trophy next year.

If he is somehow able to keep playing on a line with Spezza next year, you would have to think that he would be in the running.

matts10 04-01-2011 05:01 PM

Greening was here on an emergency recall for I believe Alfredsson. So he had to be the one going down. Sucks for him, he scored two goals last night and now has to be sent down. Hope that he can continue he strong play in bingo.

I doubt Rundblad will relinquish it that easily. :sarcasm:

I don't want to say it's impossible but I'd be completely stunned if Greening even got close to a Calder.
