Good news.

Williams is wearing a shoulder harness, and there’s no clear indication as to whether he’s ahead of schedule, or when he might return, but more could be known in the coming days.

I'm shocked. I figured it'd be another week. I guess the timetable makes sense though since we are two weeks in to a 4 week recovery time. Great news!

Cruel11 04-03-2011 04:03 PM

A very good sign. :amazed:

Jetteroheller 04-03-2011 04:04 PM

Sounds great! I hope he doesn't push the recovery too quickly tho, don't want him to re-injure the shoulder.

yessssssssssss!!!
*fistpump*

He will be playing during the 1st round, the question is how much impact can he have on the team if he's not 100%

Playoffs won't start for atleast another 8 days so he's got time.

playoffs start in 10 days. If we play on the second night of the playoffs, it will have been 11 days.

Buddy The Elf 04-03-2011 04:07 PM

Man that guy is a friggin warrior. I just hope he can be effective when he comes back.

scramble91 04-03-2011 04:08 PM

I hope he doesn't rush back... If becomes back too early he will once again, he most likely be a non factor. I just don't think it's a good idea to play with the harness especially since he does alot o board work.

Even better, I wasn't sure when the playoffs started exactly so I was just guessing the 11th at the earliest.

Thats the face of determination.

outofrange 04-03-2011 04:15 PM

WOW. The guy is seriously a warrior and it's great that we have him.

KINGS17 04-03-2011 04:19 PM

It would be a boost for the team's PP to have him on the half wall in the playoffs.

MxH0CKEY 04-03-2011 04:34 PM

I would like him to join Game 3 of the 1st round, that would probably be a better time. Some more healing time between the 1st and 3rd game. GREAT NEWS! :yo:

FrozenKing18 04-03-2011 05:21 PM

Yes!

johnjm22 04-03-2011 07:28 PM

Hopefully when he comes back:

Penner-Lewis-Brown
Smyth-Stoll-Willilams
Ponikarovsky-Handzus-Simmonds
Clifford-Richardson-Moller

Moller might not be ideal for the bottom 6, but he's still better than Westgarth.

backhander 04-03-2011 10:51 PM

heck yeah

Martyros 04-04-2011 12:30 AM

Take your godamn time! We want you back at as close to a 100% as possible!

Cutty Sarkn3ss* 04-04-2011 02:27 AM

Would rather him take his time and make sure he's 100%, we have him for 4 years, why risk further exacerbating the shoulder injury . .

He's going to get hurt again anyways, my money's on groin injury next. We might as well get as many games out of him until the next body part falls off.

FootKnight 04-04-2011 06:22 AM

I can't wait to have him back, but please don't come back early and mess the shoulder up worse.

DAkings20 04-09-2011 02:15 PM

According to Hammond JW has a strength test tmrw and if everything goes well he should play game 1 of the playoffs.

Orenji 04-09-2011 02:18 PM

Now all we need is for Williams to do well tonight and Schenn's team to burst into flames, and we'll be good.

If Scheen won't be able to carry his junior team on his back into the next round, why do you have such expectation that he'll turn everything around here at Kings this season?
