I see you guys stole OUR chant which we used against Marty Brodeour...way to be original guys :D

mrwarden 04-14-2011 08:55 PM

We're not chanting "Marty", we're chanting "Lundqvist". Completely different chant, see.

txpd 04-14-2011 08:56 PM

caps forum friend. caps forum.

caps8 04-14-2011 09:01 PM

Caps need to build off that goal by Semin and really start to take it to Lundqvist. If they play like they did in Game 1 they will start to be winning these games easily I think.

RandyHolt 04-14-2011 09:06 PM

HF really needs an age restriction

Capitlols 04-14-2011 09:23 PM

Don't they say not to feed the troll.

Semin 04-14-2011 09:47 PM

I haven't checked any of the other threads but does anyone know if MJ is ok? I saw him crash into the boards hard in OT. Honestly made me cringe. It was a shoulder first crash so right away I thought of separated shoulder.

There was never any mention of anything wrong with him after the game, and they did get postgame quotes from him so you'd think it would have come up if it were that bad.

Ok well thats good news. I absolutely hate seeing players go into the boards like that.

OVrocks 04-14-2011 09:57 PM

I think That we will blow the Rags away this game, we would've blew them out in game 1 if not for the crossbar.

5-2 Caps
Ovechkin with a hat trick

We are on the Caps board right?

If the Caps play the way they did in game 1 they win this game easily...

Portable Mink 04-14-2011 10:18 PM

rinse, repeat.

4-0 Caps

Ovechkins Wodka 04-14-2011 10:32 PM

i hate these homer GDTs... we should have gloves start the ones on the main board then heads would turn

Jedgi 04-14-2011 10:35 PM

Going to the game tomorrow night. Let's go Caps!

Portable Mink 04-14-2011 10:39 PM

What i liked from watching game 1:

- The team looks composed. Tight games has become a custom of this team instead of a fear after not being able to score a few early to get the lead.
- As a result, the team is showing the patience required to wait until the opportunity presents. We have superior offensive weapons to pretty much any team we can face and we seem to understand that at some point, if we dont get scored on, we will score.

- Brooks Laich, set up the GWG imo with his play. His faceoff work was off the charts (dunno stats but he was good from what i saw), he seems to be backing up his play, and showing confidance in his puck movement when he crosses the blue line. I think thats important to him. he has a good amount of skill but often 'plays the precentages' a little too much and doesnt back himself to make a play. This is why he had such a cold streak this season and why when you have the puck, things happen. he has to take a bit of ownership of that sometimes which i thought he did.

- Defenders, Rookies were fantastic, Carlsons play in his own end and knowing when to jump up is almost flawless these days. Alzner was brilliant and thats all that needs to be said. Green looked eager to not hold the puck much, but also was instantly as calm with the puck when he had it, as when he was in his great form early in the season. he appears to be completely rounding out his game and confidence back there. The only thing i hope he manages is his vision of opponents. im sure that will improve too.

Could go on about Neuvy and others but those were the main things.

On that note, just added some more things to the GDT.

Started it marginally early because the game is in April.
