We’ll take a look at everything to see how we can do a better job next game. We obviously would have liked to end it so we can rest our guys. We still have some work to do, At this time of year, it's really intense. Hopefully the guys return to the focus that leads to winning efforts. We're going to take it shift by shift. That's the only way to approach it, If you over-think it, it takes on a life of its own. We need to concentrate on playing a full 60 minutes and doing the things we've preached all season long. It’s back to work in the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday and we’ll be ready."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the Teal bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Go Monarchs!

Don't use youth and injuries as an excuse like a certain Kings' coach that will remain nameless. ;)

Chazz Reinhold 04-22-2011 12:47 PM

I'll be there tonight.

TonySCV 04-22-2011 12:51 PM

I'm contemplating a trip out to watch the boys as well assuming I have some free time from the Kings coming up soon.

One of the things I'm really happy about is the crowds at these games. They are drawing well. For years the crowds have faded as the season wore on and the playoff crowds have been really disappointing (2,000 a night if they were lucky). Drawing ~5,000 a night is good for the Monarchs for this time of year. Glad to see the team is getting that kind of support.

Last Friday's attendance of 8588 set a playoff attendance record for the Monarchs. Probably won't be that high tonight (not as much time to sell tickets) but hopefully will be a good crowd!
Morris said he is leaning toward Jones starting tonight!

AKAY47 04-22-2011 01:41 PM

Just a guess but it looks like Toffoli is out for tonight's game, Justin Johnson will probably take his spot:

The emergence of Kaunisto has really brought him up lol.. He only had one good game and Mark Morris will be putting him in the lineup ahead of someone with more talent like Toffoli. Kaunisto is a 4th liner, not a 2nd liner. Oh well, I can't complain that much but I'm starting to see why Monarchs fans complain about this guy

yeah I was pretty shocked when I saw the attendance figure for game 2. it will be tough to top that. I am not expecting a huge crowd tonight but we will see. its a nice day and the Fisher Cats are home as well.

EDIT: meh Justin Johnson does nothing for me. Unless Morris is expecting some shenanigans from the B-Sens which I doubt is the case.

Puck U 04-22-2011 02:32 PM

Who is Joy Lindsay and why should we take her Twitter as fact ? :help:

though listening to the game the other day that is what I thought the line was {Kaunisto-Schenn-Holloway}

AKAY47 04-22-2011 02:42 PM

Oh ya, oups.. I forgot to mention WHO she was lmao. She's the Binghamton Senators beat writer for the Press & Sun-Bulletin.

Ugh, dislike this decision if that's the case. Johnson has a tendency to take bad penalties. I'd much rather see Toffoli in the lineup.

I'll be at the game tonight so hopefully, we'll have a good game and a victory!

Sydor25 04-22-2011 03:08 PM

Go Monarchs Go! End it tonight!

Schenn is a +7 in three games. :yo:

Of course, the Monarchs do need to stop taking penalties and stop giving up PP goals.

AKAY47 04-22-2011 07:03 PM

1-0 Monarchs.. Azevedo with the goal

TonySCV 04-22-2011 07:10 PM

Woot. The stream is too choppy to be of much use. Radio feed is plenty good. My heart needed a jumpstart today anyway. ;)

Ken Cail gets excited at the most random times. "Azevedo... passing to Muzzin WHO KEEPS IT IN AT THE LINE!!!!!... and a pass back to Azevedo..."

SMoneyMonkey 04-22-2011 07:25 PM

Haha, I've noticed that, too xP I love it.

AKAY47 04-22-2011 07:56 PM

1-1.. Bobby Butler. Ugh

Fat Elvis 04-22-2011 08:02 PM

Azevedo put up decent number this season and also this series. For those that get to watch him play, does he have a shot at making the big club and who would you compare his game to?

AKAY47 04-22-2011 08:12 PM

OT again..

Chazz Reinhold 04-22-2011 08:25 PM

It was pretty obvious Binghamton was going to score. They took over for much of the third. The Monarchs responded well after that though (not like their parent team ;) ). Schenn has been good, but honestly, it was a good decision to send him to the AHL. He hasn't stood out at all. Holloway and Kozun have had better games, probably even Azevedo. Hopefully the Monarchs can pull this off in OT.

Shellz 04-22-2011 08:32 PM

These announcers are hilarious.

Chazz Reinhold 04-22-2011 08:36 PM

Monarchs are looking shaky in OT so far.

KINGS17 04-22-2011 08:47 PM

Hey Morris just took a timeout. Monarchs got this one in the bag.

Actually not a bad idea taking the TO there.
