This is the worst things have been around here since game six vs Chicago last year. Let's all remember that we're still ahead in this series, and there's lots to be optimistic/thankful about.

1. Crawford is due for a bad game - I've thought he's been awesome the past few games and quietly making all the saves Luongo has NOT.

2. Hodgson is showing potential to be a core player in the near future. He's undeniably faster and looks like a solid second liner.

3. IF the team advances, this adversity should make them a lot stronger.

4. We haven't had to watch some of the more annoying ads on Sportsnet (MOORES? On your wedding day...she'll be looking at you) since the games are on CBC.

5. No Mark Lee while on the topic of CBC.

6. No injuries to the defence through five games, although Ballard seems to have been playing hurt.

7. If the team was fighting sickness the past two games maybe they've recovered.

8. The lady behind the penalty box in game three could be back for game six in Chicago.

9. If we go up on Chicago in game six their crowd will suck. Beating them there would be incredibly satisfying and I bet none of us have even thought about that.

10. We don't have Shane O'Brien on the team.

11. We don't have Ritchie, Isbister, Cowan, etc..

12. This past couple days has really cleared up who the crazies are on our board.

13. At least we're not Calgary Flames fans.

I think you guys should really take the opinions of other fanbases into consideration here. Most of the people following this series believe the Canucks are going to take this series. The only ones saying the Hawks will win it are Hawks/Flames/Oilers fans.

Think of it this way... We pushed the Hawks to the brink, but couldn't keep rolling on despite being the superior team, why should the Hawks be able to roll us 4 games straight? Already with 2 no-shows, we're bound to show up in one of the next two games, and I think game 6 will be it.

I kind of don't mind hearing that Chicago guy belt out the anthems again.

Agreed, he's awesome. Pretty cool that he puts in a good effort for Oh Canada too - I get the impression that the Canucks are trying to piss off Americans by letting Richard Loney go out there. He's really really low energy and does weird things with the melody too - not a fan.

thats because most of the other fans had no idea on how the canucks choke in important games.

I think the Canucks could take the Ducks or the Preds in the next round. Ducks especially have been porous defensively against a team that's not known for its offensive flair.

Just gotta get there first.

And Anaheim doesn't have a hate on for the Canucks as much as the Hawks do.

14) Trevor Linden is predicting a win on Sunday

They give a different perspective. Since Canucks fans in general suffered through a lot of post-season disappointments, we tend to be a little more glass half empty - even when we hit a bump like this.

I think it's more "glass mostly full but we should trade it for peanuts and rebuild cause whatever's in it will never get it done".

I'm really looking forward to seeing Vince Vaughan...crying (and not because of his perm).

The possibility of a win Sunday means that we could see the Madhouse despair and silent besides a few sobbing cries, one of which is hopefully Vince Vaughn.
