It’s your teammates, who are striving to reach the same goal. The last two games are not games that we like. We’ve got to go up there and win one in San Jose and put the pressure back on them."

So I was upset, but still, that’s the turning point of the game. They got two goals when I was in the box, so I can’t be doing that. … I’ve just to realize that maybe if it was a guy like Boyle or Thornton or something like that, it’s a better trade-off, but Nichol is a fourth-line center, not playing a lot of minutes. My team needs me, and I can’t be in the box."

That’s a part of the game that we have taken a lot of pride in over the last three years, is to be a good, solid defensive hockey club, to do things the right way all of the time, as a team. So when I say I need players to play good, I need them to play the right way. We don’t need to have any one player, two players, feel that they need to put the whole thing on their shoulders and play extra-special, because that’s when problems start to come back at you and comes right back down our throat. I just want us to play good."

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the Teal bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Is it oficial that Penner is scratched? Or is this just wishful thinking? I happen to think he should of benched him for game 4, after that stoopid penalty in game 3 allowing San Jose to come back.

NO not yet, but also more the rational choice than just "wishful thinking" over Poni & Stoll, since I doubt Murray sits Stoll, and also doubt he dresses Moller.
Hammond will tell us the 'official' word before the game.

IF you did it in GDT #2 ... DO IT AGAIN, seeing how well that Game Worked out :)

Hopefully Penner learns from his scratch if he is indeed out. Nice to see Parse back.

In GDT #2 Stoll didn't play, maybe it is time for TM to look outside the box and wonder maybe if it is Stoll that is bringing us down.

KingsKnight 04-23-2011 01:30 AM

I'm not worried, we have a perfect record in Saturday playoff games in San Jose this year. :D

ScoreZeGoals 04-23-2011 01:39 AM

I don't mean to be a downer, but could you imagine if someone told you THAT would be our line-up for a game in the playoffs? Our first line consists of a guy with a bum shoulder ( but a ton of heart), a guy with less then no speed, and a guy who hasn't played in like 6 months? Yikes!!

Cook24 04-23-2011 01:46 AM

Kick some ass Parse. I'm rooting for ya. Put those doubters to shame...

Nose of Sutter 04-23-2011 01:48 AM

**** my bad I thought he was a scratch for sure

Cruel11 04-23-2011 02:08 AM

I think we should post negative comments only. It has worked before.

Last game of the season. Expecting another blow out.

See y'all next season.

DAkings20 04-23-2011 03:01 AM

Go team!

Seriously though we ****ing suck.

Oh and that forward group is absolutely disgusting. I don't think I have seen a worse group of forwards in the playoffs in a long time.

Here's to our four 3rd lines putting on a show:party:

(the last two lines aren't sarcasm)

LAKings4ever 04-23-2011 10:44 AM

Curious to see how the team comes out tonight - can not handle anything resembling the last 5 periods this team has played. We had the opportunity to steal game 1, dominated game 2, should have won game 3 but said @#$% it and collapsed, and were thrashed in game 4.

Our team foundation has been defense, but 12 goals the last 2 games is brutal - I would like to see Bernier get a shot tonight, but that points the finger at Quick when it has been a team effort to get behind 3-1 in this series but sometimes you have to change for the sake of change, get the players thinking we got Quick pulled and now we have to play our best to help out the kid in goal.

I love this team and would hate to see them out like this, they need heart and some smelling salts to wake out and get going and win this game...it's doable.

TonySCV 04-23-2011 10:59 AM

The Kings would be wise to draw on Mitchell's experience for these next 3 games:

"I (came back from a 3-1 series deficit) twice in one year with Minnesota (2003). We came back against Colorado and won game seven in OT. Then, we did the same thing against Vancouver. We were down 3-1 and came back in seven to beat them, not in OT, but we beat them handily in that game. I think that was the series I can reflect back on a little bit because the Canucks were up 3-1 in the series, but we felt we played a lot better than what the series shows. I think we can look upon that a little bit this series. I think we've played fairly well against that team over there (the Sharks). We've just had snippets of 20 minutes here, 20 minutes there in a couple of games that have really put us in this situation. So, I think we can look upon that and see that 'you know what, we can score some goals against this team.' They're obviously a great team. But, we can score some goals against them and we've played well for large amounts of the series. If we can do that for 60 minutes, we can have some results and get back into this thing and take it home in seven."

http://www.mayorsmanor.com/2011/04/w...-all.html#more

Sydor25 04-23-2011 11:30 AM

Maybe they should hire Gretzky as a consultant. He was part of the Kings team that came back from a 3-1 deficit.

Thrice 04-23-2011 12:01 PM

The Kings can pull this off. It's not going to be easy but it is within grasp...

We suck. We should use Penner as a shield.

Ramon108 04-23-2011 12:13 PM

"They've scored 12 goals in two games. That's embarrassing. We have to pack up, get to San Jose and go there to win a hockey game. If we lose, it's the season, so we have to go there to win a hockey game and expect nothing else. " Jack Johnson

I hope that it will.
