Benny Smith, baby.

Cullksinikers 04-24-2011 10:08 PM

Unbelievable.

That was unreal. What a game, what a finish, what a comeback thus far.

Hossa...how do you like me now???? World class players..there simply is no substitue for them! And the heart of Smith, first when Hossa is playing with it at the blue line in his skates Smith does a great job staying on side...then he deflects Hammers shot to set Luango off balance...and then the chipper WINNER...HAWKS WIN!!

KyleJRM 04-24-2011 10:12 PM

Frolik with the greatest penalty shot in history, not only tying an playoff game but breaking the goalie in the process.

BobbyJet 04-24-2011 10:12 PM

Kudos to Cory Crawford for fighting through a rough start and beating Luongo again!!!!

What an amazing game. Thought the Nucks had us worn down in OT, but we pulled it off. Can't put in words how stunning this comeback has been.

Props to Vancouver. After two blowouts, they could have played scared or moped around. They brought it for 75 minutes. That's a damn good hockey team we're playing.

brtriad 04-24-2011 10:13 PM

Well deserved.

Sarava 04-24-2011 10:14 PM

Wow. I don't know what else to say. Good job Hawks. Good job Frolik. Good job Crawford. And finally good job Marian Hossa and Ben Smith!

RFIP 04-24-2011 10:15 PM

I liked the bench shot...Scott just looks up at the scoreboard as if to say "I wonder how much longer I have to sit here becuase I know my skates aint never touching the ice again this game.." and THEN!

stingo 04-24-2011 10:15 PM

Frolik was amazing tonight.

sedag 04-24-2011 10:16 PM

Cool to watch the celebration. I was too busy celebrating to notice.

murty77 04-24-2011 10:16 PM

I <3 Ben Smith

CerebralGenesis 04-24-2011 10:17 PM

what the hell did happen to schneider

RFIP 04-24-2011 10:17 PM

How fragile is Luango's mental state right now? Couldn't even sit on the bench and then thrust in to action..and then..BIG BEN!

RFIP 04-24-2011 10:18 PM

Toews minus 2, Kane minus 1...and they still win again? Amazing.

KyleJRM 04-24-2011 10:18 PM

Watching it again, I can't help but notice that the shot that got through to create the rebound had a short, quick windup, almost a pure wrister. Not a huge, "please take your time getting into the shooting lane and Mr. Goalie are you nice and ready?" windup.

Indeed he was.

RFIP 04-24-2011 10:20 PM

Sedins are so soft it's sickening! Their dives are pathetic, and thank God Danielle was the guy who "tried" to stop Smith but was over powered by the rookie!

Cullksinikers 04-24-2011 10:20 PM

Hossa was bad all game, but his hard work helped lead to the GW goal by Benny.

I'm so proud of these guys right now. They easily could've given up and told Bolland to prepare for 2011-12, but they stuck to it, practiced hard, made it through thick and thin, and we're going to a Game 7.

I'm glad we get to all talk about this together. This board has been unreal this year!!
