Official 2011 NFL Thread (Are you ready for some Footbaaaaalllalllalll!!!!!) *Part I*

Lock up the other thread. The draft is upon us. This is the true start of the 2011 season.

The lockout is over! Maybe! Who really knows at this point? All I know is, I WANT SOME ******* FOOTBALL SOON.

Bird Law 04-26-2011 06:09 PM

By the way, any team that is not allowing players to work out is clearly ****ing retarded. Why would you not want that advantage? Simple tactical advantage would be to let your players workout while your rivals turn them away. Fools. The lot of them.

NYRFAN218 04-26-2011 06:14 PM

Any one ever go to the draft? How hard is it to get in? I read that they're handing out wristbands starting at midnight Thursday morning which I wouldn't do.

I agree. I mean, you know you're going to work out a deal at some point. Don't you want your players in the best possible shape when this thing is inevitably over? It just seems like an unnecessary action to breed more ill will.

Yeah I was thinking of going but the train ride out and I'd miss a day of school it's not like I live in the city.

According to Rex Ryan, the Jets are a better team than the Giants, and will be for the next decade.

I should pick up some investment tips.

Not that hard, apparently. My mom got in just by walking by (she doesn't watch football) last year early in the morning. Just anecdotal, but y'know.

:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Get past the AFC Championship game Rex.

BlueshirtBlitz 04-26-2011 07:38 PM

Oh, Rex. I can't help but like him but he's ****ing crazy.

Was that for the first round or day two? Day three this year and maybe day two it seems like you could just walk in but it seems tough for day one.

The Giants better draft an offensive lineman AND a LB. They have needed a captain of the defense since before Pierce(I was never a fan). Get a run-stopping LB and let the DE's do their work and that defense would be much better than they have been(which is saying a lot).

Rex Ryan leads a team that has won nothing. He talks like they have won the past two season's, and he is already doing it this year. He can keep his imaginary championships, I will take my team's real one from last season.

$$$$$$

On the FAN today Fatcessa said d'brickashaw would've gotten a 750k bonus if he showed up for workouts. I never knew such stipulations existed in a NFL contract, but i
guess they are.

whatever...get a gym membership like the other 99.9999% of the world if you want to lift weights.

Fitzy 04-26-2011 07:47 PM

I'm sure Rex has won plenty of eating competitions and free steaks.

And in the race to diabetes, he is way ahead of coughlin. The race for super bowls? Already one behind.

i guess if you're gonna try and break the union, you go after every penny.

Glad to see we're right back where we left off, trashing the Jets.

Well, with Rex trashing the Giants and the Jets closing up shop to their own players over petty cash, I think what's posted is a relatively accurate portrayal of the events so far.

I guess you can trash the Giants for winning and allowing their players to work out with staff, if you want.

Fitzy 04-26-2011 08:18 PM

 Its the offseason for both sports. No RBNY talk on this board so nothing better to do than trash the Jets.

Plus I like getting Jon going. So easy.

With the Rangers season over, guess something has to be trashed on these boards.

Or, you can not trash either team.

This is a thread for both fan bases to post in. If you want to talk ****, do it somewhere else. I don't know why you need to be reminded of this so frequently, Mr. Trolling Extraordinaire.

Things got ridiculous last season, and we're not going to have that again this year. We won't close the thread, we'll just thread ban everyone that's acting like a child.

Consider yourselves warned, fans of both teams.

Fitzy 04-26-2011 08:38 PM

I'm not convinced that Vick can win a super bowl. I've had reservations about the fragile scramblers for a long time now.

Add that to the Eagles, who are notorious chokers, and you have a team that probably is due, but I will believe it when I see it.
