++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++

I somehow dont think this series will end up like last years.

Flyers in 6

Bold prediction: Boosh starts every game

This will be only the second time since 1978 that the Bruins and Flyers have met in the playoffs.

Mod Edit: We can use this for the series discussion

yeah coming back on them down 3-0 2 years in a row would just be cruel.

FlyerSithLord 04-27-2011 09:14 PM

Should be an awesome series.

Flyers in 6.

SilkyMitts 04-27-2011 09:16 PM

at least we have home ice this time

GKJ 04-27-2011 09:16 PM

Even if they beat us...they'll never have what we have.

oLiViNGSToNo 04-27-2011 09:17 PM

The Bruins looked awful against Montreal. Non-existant powerplay, sketchy penalty killing, and an inconsistent first line (Lucic literally was nowhere to be found). I could see Thomas stealing a game or two from us, so I'll say Flyers in 6.

Alchemy 04-27-2011 09:17 PM

I don't really fear the Bruins.

The Sabres had me concerned with how they finished the season and how we finished ours. I was more uncertain in that series then this one..

Flyers in 5.

Justified 04-27-2011 09:21 PM

The Bruins PP is atrocious, maybe the worst in the playoffs. Their PK isnt great either. I

PhillyFlying 04-27-2011 09:21 PM

play like you did in game 7 and for the love of god don't lose the first 3. should be a good one. GO FLYERS!!!

GKJ 04-27-2011 09:22 PM

The revenge factor concerns me the most.

nevermore 04-27-2011 09:25 PM

The Bruins have been really underwhelming so far. I've watched the games either live or simultaneously to the Flyers, and haven't been impressed at all.
Hell, from what I gather neither have Bruins fans.

And I don't give a **** about extra motivation. It's the playoffs, no team should need any.

The Bruins PP is -1 for 23.

Charlie Milles* 04-27-2011 09:25 PM

I look forward to cheering for you guys. :handclap:

Phileeguy 04-27-2011 09:25 PM

Good consistent goaltending (from I'm assuming Boosh) and the Flyers should take this series as long as that switch remains flipped.

yup.
Boston always sucks against Montreal, however they are a completely different animal against everyone else.
If we can get the Dr Jekyl Boucher I think we'll all be happy when this one wraps up.

Unstable 04-27-2011 09:29 PM

I think no comebacks this time. The Flyers did 3-0 to the Bruins last year, and the Bruins just did 2-0 to the Habs. Whichever team gets an early lead in the series is going to put the pedal to the metal for sure.

Let's go Flyers!!!

Samesies :/

drownedsailors 04-27-2011 09:31 PM

The Bruins looked bad because they don't match well against the Canadiens; basically Montreal is a faster smaller version of Boston, they check well, they're responsible defensively, they have pretend offense, and an amazing goaltender. I wasn't surprised at all to see it go to OT in game 7.

However just because the Bruins don't play amazing against Montreal, doesn't mean they can't beat the Flyers. In fact I think they'll actually be the favorites going into this series.

Orange Crush 89 04-27-2011 09:35 PM

Shutout every game and the Flyers will use 5 goalies over the series.

mypunkrock 04-27-2011 09:37 PM

Boston is a good team with a world class keeper.

Anything can happen.

I'm praying Flyers in 6.

Bruins fan here. You must be high if you think the Bruins will be favored. I know it's fun to be the underdog, but c'mon...
