Rd 2 Gm 3 "History Will Be Made"

Any "History will be made" ideas for Seto's goal?

Let me know. I'll pick what I think is best, and make it on Thursday.

one2gamble 05-05-2011 01:58 AM

can u jut post the goal call, i had to have the damn thing on mute and want to hear it

WTFetus 05-05-2011 02:01 AM

Most obvious one is History Repeats Itself, which will probably be used by NHLVideo. Unless they use Bergenheim's hat-trick instead.

History comes from Western Canada.

Babcock on Seto's hattrick: "You are a Western Canadian boy. We don't do that."

Show marleaus goal from game three OT last year and Seto's from tonight. History repeats itself.

Grypho 05-05-2011 03:40 AM

Hey breakaway, feel free to use this as an overlay if you'd like. Or if you want it differently, or would like something else entirely, PM me. I'd be more than happy to contribute.

History goes to the bar after the game.

History is not allowed to have any sharp implements, shoelaces or belts...

Edit: Actually, I'd love to see someone put together a History spot with that as the tag line. Show Detroit player and fan reaction shots from last year and this year, maybe culminating in Stuart's stick throw in game 1 this year.

For me, I'm almost as happy that Detroit is losing again as I am that San Jose is winning...

WedgeAntilles* 05-05-2011 11:42 AM

Hey, does anyone know what font is used for the text in the real History spots?

breakaway11 05-05-2011 02:36 PM

Arial lined up pretty good for me... you've seen the videos, you tell me if it's the same or not, but I went with Arial.

The font used in the pic, which is very similar to the one used by the NHL, is called "DIN" (medium in this case). I sent it to breakaway.

Hahaha! Yesss, and he basically ends up hugging Seto's midsection. God, what a goofball.

I was trying to figure out the font for the bandwagon avatars and Helvetica Neue (which is nearly identical to Arial) lined up perfectly. Ended up going with Helvetica Rounded for the avatars but that's not the point.

What I was thinking was definitely not "hugging" or "midsection".
