ATL dispersal draft War room

Nashville Predators Fanbase analysis.

Strengths: Posters who aren't tools. Respectful and show class. They have the photoshop manipulator in Worst who's coming into his own in embracing the concept of 'music city' with his two past avatars 'iPreds' and 'Do it for Warren'. Positions of moderators was always a key of strength with the Preds with SLake and golfmade. The retirement of Bigfatcat999 from the moderator position has not hurt matters and frankly should help Nashville's standing as one of the better boards.

Weaknesses: Numbers. Nashville could afford some depth of character but other than that, not much. Nashville should make hay with their territorial picks.

If Seth and Golf made would like.

Lots of potential Nabovkov's in the list. Nashville currently has #23 and #35. We got boned in the draft lottery. Just read it has to be moderators who make the picks but I wonder if ex-mods count

I have my ideas for picks and I will do the stats next time to give everyone a draft preview for the selections.

BigFatCat999 06-02-2011 09:25 AM

Time to talk stratagy. Do we just stick with the guys who have specifically picked the Preds or pick the general free agents knowing that the bolded guys will flip flop away.

Oh and my unofficial nickname for the ex-Thrash are 'Catbirds'.

Telfo 06-02-2011 09:30 AM

you see me at the top of the list for a reason, I can be your Stamkos. :sarcasm:

Just as long as you aren't drafted first. remember Nashville is #23. LOL

Good thing Poile isnt running our draft. if he heard you could score goals, he'd avoid you like Maple Leaf fans avoid common sense :sarcasm:

puckguy11 06-02-2011 09:40 AM

Add me to the Preds list.

BigFatCat999 06-02-2011 09:46 AM

Ok, my inner Poile is going nuts. No, I'm sorry, my inner SOB is going nuts. I'm trying to think of ways to make deals.

Trying to trade Dryden to the Habs board for their pick
Trading Viqsi to the CBJ board for their pick.

Hell, I thought about buying Dallas' pick with straight cash homie!

I would trade Dryden+our pick for nothing........

Dryden=Dumont. Negative value.

PredsV82 06-02-2011 09:53 AM

I wouldnt waste a lot of energy making trades... we have the ability to be the dirty b**tards of the whole deal.. we can draft whoever is BPA with our picks and then sign anyone else to offer sheets if they dont report to the board that drafts them.

I think just like you have what, two years to sign a draft pick in real life, the respective boards should have two weeks to "sign" their draft pick and if not they become UFA's, and we can clean up ther given our territorial advantage...

TMI 06-02-2011 10:14 AM

Let's just scrap the draft idea and go full blown SEC football recruiting on them. Screw it :naughty:

I like your thinking. I already sent a PM out asking how much it would cost to buy the first pick. LOL!

Firestorm 06-02-2011 10:19 AM

What about KevinOneel?

Sorry, my rights are owned by the CBJ. I am here strictly as a spy. ;)

I was thinking we should use our territorial advantage to heavily recruit the mods first (starting with btn) and then the posters who are already high on us. After that we go after some of the guys who have us third or fourth, and then we look to see if they have any cute girls ;)

BigFatCat999 06-02-2011 10:25 AM

Ok we need a GDT specialist, cute girls, and mods. Ok the shopping list is growing.

I'm only big on btn if he will remain a global moderator. We could use one of those. Otherwise I think our mods are fine. GDT specialist would be huge to get before the season begins, but if one is holding out for big vcash by the time the season begins we will have to run with our own mojo. GDTs are too important to our fan base psyche to just let someone come in late October to start messing with things. Cute girls would be a perk, but honestly we have a ton of them at the games already.

(of course we could always look to trade for a GDT specialist at the deadline so that our play off GDTs [hopefully] are good enough for the main boards :sarcasm: )

I never use my vcash so if that's the price they can have it all. :D Also expect donations of vcash from the other posters LOL!

I have 500 I haven't touched.

Does Atlanta have a Pred303-type poster? Steve is off for the summer, but tends to stay over on the np.com boards to keep them alive and kicking. We have some solid analytical posters, but we could always use another.

Also we need to load up on young potential. 1000 post counts and below. Ideally somewhere in the 600s so that we can still mold their young hockey minds to our thinking :naughty:

Foreign fans, too. We have a couple (Canada kinda counts as foreign, but this is the NHL so...) but it's always cool to have fans from overseas.

BigFatCat999 06-02-2011 10:38 AM

Ok what do you guys want in posters? Please give me the lists.

I see

Global moderators
GDT specialist
Cute chicks
Foreign guys

Surely we can develop a GDT specialist from within? (I.E. I put myself forward).

I Will Son 06-02-2011 10:41 AM

Trade Lighting legwands rights?:dunno:

Cant wait to see who we draft, and heres a Welcome to whomever it is.

TMI 06-02-2011 10:42 AM

I'll be willing to waive my avatar space's NMC if it helps us land some key pieces

I'll be training in the off season for this role, but my photoshopping skills are non-existent and will continue to be because I refuse to pay for the program AND learn it. Stats and such I can keep up with throughout a season. I guess it depends on what you guys want in a GDT specialist. Someone who is more flashy but less substance, or someone who is more blue collar but won't catch anyone's eye outside of Nashville.

Top 6 Spaling 06-02-2011 10:49 AM

We could really use someone with photoshop skills. wfome does a great job with the avies, but he a little overworked and underpaid. Im sure he wouldnt mind some help on that front.

Lightning already chatted himself out of the league. he made Sean Avery look like a senator.
