v15 |Report: Tentative deal reached. Season may begin as soon as Xmas day.

continued from the last one.

and also, suck it Miami.

JMcLeaf 06-12-2011 09:51 PM

Mavs!!!

Certainly seemed anticlimatic at the end there. I'm sure it would be different if it was in Dallas and the game was closer.

JMcLeaf 06-12-2011 09:55 PM

Yea Dirk was in the dressing room like 2 secs after the final buzzer.

edit: now thats how you celebrate!

Toronto 06-12-2011 10:01 PM

ya glad i wasnt the only one who thought that.

Is it just me or do players go more crazy during a dunk then winning a championship LOL

Jaysfanatic* 06-12-2011 10:05 PM

Apparently, there was a shot of Bosh collapsing from crying. Did anyone see it? I need a gif of that. I will revel in it forever.

Nasty Nazem 06-12-2011 10:06 PM

Bargnani should make it a mission to watch 12 hours of Dirk's game tapes everyday.

Yep I saw it. It was in the hall on the way to the dressing room. There were people in the way but you could see him fall to his knees with hand on face then walking with hand on face with someone helping him along. PWNED.

Leaf Rocket 06-12-2011 10:20 PM

awesome awesome news MAVS WIN! SUCK IT HEATSSSS!

Jaysfanatic* 06-12-2011 10:38 PM

The Raps could have had Chandler and Marion on their team.

Volcanologist 06-12-2011 10:46 PM

great to see the heat and their arrogant stars & fans lose. just fantastic.

LeBron just said he's fine because haters "will wake up tomorrow" with their same problems. And he'll wake up LeBron

It was really one of those moments as a fan you live for, to watch David slay Golaith. The way the Mavs kept applying pressure from the second quarter on, and at the end they broke Miami mentally and shredded their defense wow. For all the Bosh haters you cant take away from the fact he played well, it was LeBron who showed up unbelievable small.

LeBron has gone pretty A-wall. I never liked him but I respected him with Cleveland since he seemed sincere and humble. Now... he's just become sad.

Totally random but did these playoffs even have one 7 game series?

All I can think about Bosh right now is what Shaq said about him: Bosh is the Rupaul of big men.

If anything, I think Lebron is too much of a nice guy. He's got to turn into a bit more of an a-hole.

Only Oklahoma City-Memphis went 7 games.

He went to the dressing room because of complete shock and being overcome with emotion. Different people handle extreme happiness in different ways. Some scream (like Kevin Garnett "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!"), some cry (like the famous shot of Jordan hugging the trophy in tears), some go into shock, some just smile from ear to ear. I agree that celebrations are more passionate in hockey with the throwing of equipment and the pileup that is created. But I don't for a second doubt Nowitzki's passion or appreciation of the title. He just was so overcome with emotion, he went to the locker room for a little bit because that's his way of dealing with it. All of those guys on the Mavs: Dirk, Kidd, Terry, Marion, Chandler, have paid their dues and finally after all these years get that title. I don't for a second doubt their passion and happiness over this title, I'm glad they finally got it.

FlareKnight 06-13-2011 02:56 AM

I can get some of the reasoning, but it still looks odd to see a guy just walk out right after they won such a huge game. Even if you're overwhelmed at least try to stay there with the team as those who can jump around with joy do so.

But anyways good on the Mavs. I'm sure plenty were cheering them on to take Miami down.
