Would you ask an enforcer for a signature if...

Lets assume you'll meet an enforcer after hes lost a fight and the game, having to chance of asking him for a signature?

I mean, imagine standing in front of a Parros, Big Mac or Scott when they are pissed, sounds scary right?

Personally I still would, the worst thing maybe them saying no or not yet.

The Fear Boners 06-13-2011 06:48 PM

The vast majority of enforcer types are the nicest people you'll meet.

This. Eric Boulton is one of the classiest guys you could ever meet.

Ozz 06-13-2011 07:09 PM

As if they're going to punch someone in the face for asking for an autograph? Right...

Philadelphia Ducks 06-13-2011 07:37 PM

Hmm...yes I'd still ask. I'm sure most of them don't get too mad after losing a hockey fight, most of the time they both get up smiling after it's done.

Think so too just would hesitate a bite more than usual.

The Swedish Meatball 06-13-2011 09:00 PM

I would definitely! hopefully you get some blood on the autograph aswell!

Hugh Madbrough 06-13-2011 09:15 PM

I asked Eric Godard to pull my jersey over my head at the Winter Classic Alumni game...he didn't look amused.

straka91* 06-13-2011 10:12 PM

I doubt any enforcer would refuse a fan a signature because they lost a fight. Like another poster stated, enforcers are one of the nicest people off the ice.

Schenn 06-13-2011 10:17 PM

Why wouldn't I?

Mr Forever 06-13-2011 10:27 PM

What are they gonna do? Say No? :amazed: :amazed:

Even after a bad night, most athletes don't seem as pissed off as people might think. I don't think I would want an enforcer to sign my jersey, since I don't like enforcers. But I would sure ask for a picture.

I know its more for his legacy, but you don't like enforcers? Seems like the opposite to me

Big McLargehuge 06-14-2011 02:57 AM

I'm not the signature-seeking type, but if I was I certainly wouldn't. Eric Godard is definitely one of the nicer Penguins, as were Georges Laraque and Steve McKenna before him. ****, I have Francois Leroux's autograph somewhere.

The only hockey player I've ever met that seemed legitimately mad at the situation after a loss was Dick Tarnstrom...and fighting had nothing to do with that.

SomeoneGreat 06-14-2011 04:34 AM

I've denied players the opportunity to sign my jersey.

jkrx 06-14-2011 07:34 AM

Didn't an enforcer sign an autograph while in the penalty box after losing a fight?

tarheelhockey 06-14-2011 09:14 AM

If he looked visibly upset, I'd steer clear.

SoCalSharkzFan 06-14-2011 10:12 AM

Certainly. Even if he got totally demolished, I'd give him props. :yo:

Mansfield 06-14-2011 10:14 AM

The only player I'd never ask for a signature from is Dan Carcillo because I can't stand the guy.

From what I've heard most enforcers are pretty nice anyway.

Seriously?

If so, then I can perhaps understand why he didn't look amused. He was probably thinking "WTF??"

:dunno:

ThirdManIn 06-21-2011 09:47 AM

Not if it's Rypien

IF I liked the enforcer and if I gave a damn about autographs then yes, I would

matCH penalty 06-21-2011 10:02 AM

Absolutely. I'd rather ask an Enforcer for an autograph or photo on a bad day than ask a superstar on a marginal day. Egos are weird things.

Man, that guy was such a :dunce: . If I got my ass kicked by someone like Rypien or Ruutu I'd be stoked as hell.

You do realize that not all fights are because someone hit their teammate in way that the fighter thought was dirty. A good amount of fights are between to enforcers agreeing to fight to try and get their team wound up.
