Jamie Langenbrunner

Ol' Langs is a UFA this off-season. With the cap rising even after most of the current contracts are renewed the Kings will have cap space.

It's generally accepted that the Kings need more help on the wings to support Kopitar and Stoll.

Langs is a veteran winger that still has a few good years in him in my opinion.

But I'm not an avid Kings follower, so I just wanted to ask you Kings fans:

How would you feel if Langenbrunner was signed?

What cap hit would be you be comfortable with? Term?

FrozenKing18 06-20-2011 03:32 AM

No thanks.

Help on the wings? We need like one player who can score boatloads of goals. Unless Langenbrunner learns to score 30-40 goals right now, theres no way we sign him.

So just to echo everyone else....

No.

From a friendly stars fan... don't go after langs big mistake he really doesnt have much left and it may have nothing to do with either but notice as soon as NJ got rid of him they went on that crazy run and dallas went down the *******. He is also really damn slow now.

Bad juju surrounds this player. Lets not question it and just steer clear.

Nose of Sutter 06-20-2011 09:05 AM

No thanks

Sydor25 06-20-2011 09:08 AM

No way.

We've suffered through years of Plan B, C and D-type players-none of them performed above their low expectations. The Kings need Plan A players only pushing their current players DOWN the depth chart rather than UP the depth chart. This is the offseason Lombardi needs to prove he's not just good at drafting and developing.

^What he said..

For one, I think Langenbrunner is a right wing so unless he wants to play on the 4th line, he isn't an upgrade from what the Kings have there. Secondly, I'm pretty sure Langenbrunner is full on dumpster dive status at this point.

Cutty Sarkn3ss* 06-20-2011 11:31 AM

No please

Kurrilino 06-20-2011 06:52 PM

lol, there is no winger who can help Stoll,
And if this guy would be the missing one i would have to rethink my whole hockey life

I like Langenbrunner and if he signed for a million or less I'd do it. Good vet leader, but he'd get 4th line time and that's about it.

So you would be OK with him making about 2 million less to play for the Kings?

C'mon, guys, I think Langenbrunner would be a GREAT addition to your team! :sarcasm:

In all seriousness, stay away. Far, far away. My condolences if he actually ends up signing with you guys.
