Bring back Boucher?

idk about you guys but i would seriously consider bringing back boosh to serve as the backup. now that you have a legit tender, boosh knows his role as a backup and i think would be a great guy to bring back. because i would rather see bobrovsky seeing time in the AHL rather then seeing limited miuntes behind bryz

JagerPuck 06-24-2011 08:52 AM

No, no, no.
They should no have brought Leighton back last year.
They shouldnt bring back Boucher this year.

DrinkFightFlyers 06-24-2011 08:53 AM

I'd be cool with this. Don't think we have to now with our cap space, but Bob is essentially expendable now so even trading him and signing Boosh would be ok.

Insein 06-24-2011 08:53 AM

I wouldn't mind Boucher as a backup. He's solid for a few games as a breather for the starter. Its when he has to play significant stretchs that he gets exposed. I thought I heard Bob can't go back to the AHL though.

Think we'd have to waive Bob, and expose him to other teams poaching him. Even if he made it through, he'd never make it through re-entry.

No end of story and bob is fine as the backup so what if he makes a million plus.....................:yo:

PhillyCurt12 06-24-2011 09:41 AM

i would just keep bob in the minors for the whole year and let him play 60+. sign emery or three-or-more on the cheap for backup duty.

Jray42 06-24-2011 09:48 AM

Guys we can't send bob to the minors, hell get picked up off waivers. Even if he doesn't, to call him up he has to go through reentry waivers, and a team will claim him then.

dats81 06-24-2011 10:14 AM

We already have enough dead weight signed in Leighton and Backlund. Please no more Boosh :help:

EagleOCNJ 06-24-2011 10:23 AM

The notion of waving Bob is plain silly

PhillyCurt12 06-24-2011 11:10 AM

hmm, i thought he only would have to clear re-entry waivers... my b.

Beef Invictus 06-24-2011 11:36 AM

I'm a Boosh fan, but he has no role on this team unless Bob is traded.

Swiper the Fox 06-24-2011 12:00 PM

he has no role on this team even if they trade bob

flyersfan187 06-24-2011 01:50 PM

They should trade Bob and Carle and sign Bieska and Boucher/or Emery for about what the other two made. Bieska would be much better with Pronger in this system than Carle and Emery can't be looking to play many games next season because of his injury he had before. Boucher knows his role too and would be cheap

Wait...Bieksa and Boucher for the price of Bob/Carle?

I don't think you can sign Bieksa for that much, let alone him and Boucher. Bieksa's probably making a solid 5 mill...
