Kirk Muller Appreciation Thread

Best of luck Kirk, always a fan favourite in Montreal - as a player and assistant coach.

In a town where the fans and media can eat you alive, it's just nice to see someone leave the organization on their own terms - and good terms at that.

I'll never forget Elliotte Friedman's story about Kirk in Game 7 of last year's second rounder against Pittsburgh.

And, it was him who told the Canadiens prior to Wednesday night's Game 7, "You're already heroes in Montreal. Are you satisfied with that? Or do you want your legacy to be even greater?"

Thanks for everything Kirk, I'll miss you

Was a huge fan of his growing up, great player, amazing captain and now an up and coming coach. Best of luck Captain Kirk and hope to see you back in Montreal as the head man behind the bench!

You were my first ever favorite player and was happy to see you come back. Best of luck in your coaching career.

Good luck in the AHL with Milwaukee and keep practicing your French, who knows in two years?

Jigger77 06-26-2011 09:28 PM

Well that sucks. Good for him though.

The man turned a toothless and dead powerplay we had at the start of the season, and managed to pull it up as a top-tier lineup by the end. Even the Bruins trembled in fear at the idea of catching a penalty against us.

Was it the coach, or was it the players?

Credit where credit is due, my friends. Farewell, KM.

It was mostly Wiz, we've had the same pp from even before Muller was around, and its been proven over and over that as long as we have a shooter, we have a top pp. Good on Muller to recognize this and not go away from what works though. A lot of coaches would have been different in that regard.

Yhea.. maybe. I sure hope we have a PP as dangerous as this one next year.

Which is why we need Wiz!!
