Cole in the Flyers stocking?
Makes more sense for the Flyers to pursue....

Would love a healthy Cole at the right price and NO long term deal given his recent health issues

Offer him the same contract leino turned down and see If he's in. I probably wouldn't go any higher than 3.5 |
2 years 6 million.
|
This is Homer we're talking about, the problem I have with Cole is that Homer would sign him for 5 years.
Cole is 32...if i'm Cole and I have issues with health, i'm signing somewhere for 5+ years. Some team will be stupid enough to do it. |
Homer will do 14 years NTC @ 5.3 per.

no. hes a broken down winger. he is going to get overpaid by someone. I dont want it to be us.
|
didnt he cry and whine the last time he left Carolina and ultimately was traded back?

oh i forgot....one concussions = injury prone |
I'd liked to get him if the contract is cheap. Maybe he'll take a paycut to be reunited with Lavy.
|
If the price is right. His best years are behind him. I would rather keep Versteeg and give him a full year before we write him off.
|
Pass on Cole.
|
Prefer Jason Arnott. Only wants two years. Make it so, Homer!
|
I'd be cool with Cole if he is cheap. At $3 mil plus I'd pass. Not sure what he's asking for or will be offered but if he said a dime more than $3 mil I'd tell him to go pound sand. I'm on phone right now so can't look it up, but if they signed Cole for $3 mil does that effectively rule out Leino?
|
You'd think the Flyers would be after Cole to reunite him with Lavy. If he's signed, Leino is definitely gone.
I think Leino is gone 100% anyway. The Flyers just need to trade his right away before they get nothing for him... heard several teams are lined up to sign him. |
We could do much worse than Cole and one would have to imagine that he'd be highly endorsed by Lavy. As others have stated, less than 3.0 would be ideal.
|
I'd take Cole if we didn't overpay. 2-3 years @ 2.5-3 mil per. Otherwise let him get overpaid by a struggling team.

I expect most teams to bid at Brooks Laich type figures. Probably a bit higher.

capgeek has his hit at 2.9 last year...does anyone really think he will get any more than that? I think he could be signed for 2.5.

2.5 for Cole? Doubtful.
Please don't come here Cole. Thank you <3 |
With the lack of forward talent available, and the increase in the cap, Cole might be able to get much more than $3m. I doubt he's coming here for at or under $3m, but if he is it probably won't happen until he's sat around for a few days without any good offers.
