Man I'm really going to miss him. Always had hussle and a great grinder. Thank you for your years of hard work, Marchant!! EDIT: Whoops, double thread. |
Good luck, Todd! Always loved him!

Congrats to Todd on a great career! :handclap:
Now we wait for Tim :sarcasm: http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images...jpg?1284415307 :laugh: |
Congrats on a very nice career! Great heart and soul guy.
|
Good for Todd, Good career. Was a warrior in the playoffs and a big part of the Stanley Cup Championship team in 2007.
Glad he is staying in the organization. |
Congrats to Todd. I don't think a player on this team gave as much of his heart to this club than he did. Thank you for everything.
|
I'm wondering about the timing of this announcement... Do they do it today so that an even bigger announcement can be made tomorrow or Friday? Glad to see Todd stay with the organization.

2006–07 - NHL - Stanley Cup (Anaheim)
Most games played by a player drafted in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft (1116) Good to see he's going to stay with the organization, for his next project he should teach Bobby how to take a faceoff. |
Thanks for everything, Tod!
Glad he`s staying |
Does this mean "lockerroom reporter" Timmy Marchant is also going to step down?
|
Congratulations Todd, now work on that golf game :)
|
Paul Kariya is retiring. Thank God, that puts that idea to rest.

This was expected and all, but it's still weird to think about that Marchant isn't going to be out there protecting every lead they have in the final minutes of the hockey game. Great career Todd, congrats and thanks for everything!! :)
|
Thank you Todd for everything, loved watching your heart your entire career.
Kariya I loved watching in his early career and he left before I came out here so I bear him no ill will, would have been nice to see him for nostalgia but I'm glad for him he can retire healthy. Best of luck to both in the future. |
Thank you for the memories, Marchant

Going to miss Marchant, although it was time. Really sad to see Kariya have to hang up the skates. Would have loved to see him back here over the last few years, but at the very east I wanted to see him in the league. It's a shame that concussion issues have taken out another great player. Both will be missed.
Also side note, I was in Detroit at the game when Marchant scored the triple overtime goal. Awesome. |

Great for Marchant. He was an important player for us in our cup run. Also he is the team t-shirt maker. On another note, glad to see Kariya retire. He made his money. NO need to risk your health in the future.
|
Sad to see these 2 retire. :( Was a huge fan of Kariya's since I was little.
Fun fact: Kariya retired with 989 games played and 989 points! |
Marchant was awesome and incredibly underappreciated in his time in Anaheim. I'm glad he's staying on in a front office role. Congrats to Todd on a great career.
Meh to Kariya. I'm glad he's not coming back because a) I don't ever want to see him play for Anaheim again and b) as much of a dick he is, I wouldn't want to see him suffer permanent damage as a result of another concussion. |
Marchant was a ****ing beast. Gonna miss that ****er.
Kariya is whatever. |
