Let's see how well he holds up. He wasn't looking so great for the last 1/3 of the season.

RevUpThoseGolfCarts 07-01-2011 12:12 PM

good for him

Coppy 07-01-2011 12:13 PM

I'm ok with letting him go. I'd like his slot to go to one of the younger guys.

Probably Gustavsson I bet.

RJ8812 07-01-2011 12:14 PM

we need a vet to replace him if Bartulis is on the team. no sense having Gus as the 7th defenseman

and if he doesnt work on his game, Gus isnt ready yet

Sawdalite 07-01-2011 12:15 PM

Shocker for me... much lower Cap than I ever would guess... I suppose they feel he hasn't enough left in tank for the Flyers plans and kids have to get in at some point.

4thline4life 07-01-2011 12:15 PM

good. did not want to see him back on the flyers next year... he really started showing his age the last half of the season.

I assume Bart is the 7th actually.

Good defensive D and brings a lot of leadership but couldn't keep up with the system the Flyers run. Wish him the best in Chicago!

JVR21 07-01-2011 12:17 PM

Good guy, but I'm glad we're moving on.

Garbage Goal 07-01-2011 12:19 PM

Good. Didn't want him back. Give his spot to Gustafsson or Bartulis.

PhilaFlyers 07-01-2011 12:35 PM

Class act. Good luck to him in Chi Town.

Jaydepps 07-01-2011 12:36 PM

Best of luck to O'Donnell. Loved him. Solid in reduced minutes.

Flyerfan808 07-01-2011 02:06 PM

I will miss OD. 850k is a good deal Chicago fans will like him.

CSKA1974 07-01-2011 05:26 PM

Best of luck! And thanks for your services!

mirimon 07-04-2011 03:27 PM

I'd have preferred to have O'Donnell back for that price over Lilja, even if he looked tired towards the end this year.
