Commie and Detroit. :biglaugh:

We get the puck moving defenseman they were rumored to want.

Monk 07-01-2011 02:08 PM

This pleases me.

5StringBuzz 07-01-2011 02:09 PM

Seems like kind of a weird move.

If he thought Springfield was the jungle...

99 CBJ 07-01-2011 02:17 PM

We don't have to pay him now right? Or just half?

Don't tell me he will be getting 2 paychecks.

Hillbillywingsfan 07-01-2011 02:18 PM

funny you guys are laughing..which team was it again that paid him 6mil a year??? we got him for 1mil for a 6th d-man that's going to replace Salei. It's not what we wanted really but you can't beat 1mil for 1 season. low risk high reward.

Double-Shift Lassť 07-01-2011 02:19 PM

Was it on the Wings board or the mains that some dude posted "I have inside info and Commie's going to Detroit"? I think he suggested they would claim him but still...

IBleedUnionBlue 07-01-2011 02:26 PM

This is a good deal for Commie. He goes to a legitimate contender, gets a nice payday to prove himself. I wish him success there.

LetsGOJackets!! 07-01-2011 02:27 PM

Wow, I honestly thought the dude couldn't play due

to career ending injuries? Detroit doesn't make stupid moves so I'm sure big red will play like a wild man again after his 3 year vacation from the NHL.
