Goal projections as the team stands now I wont include defense in mine

I dont see these being absurb. Simmonds is on the upswing, and has potted 16 so even he could clip the 20 goal mark. Voracek should climb as well, and JVR hopefully carries his late season play which I fully expect him to. I think we know and expect what we will get from most of our forwards, and most of our youngs should progress in points and skill.

Two wild cards are

Jagr - hard to speculate on him because he has been out of the nhl for 3 years now. If he looks like he did in the world championships he should eclipse 60 points, heck Jagr-Giroux-JVR could be a very dangerous line and surprise alot of teams. They would have plenty of size on the wing, and even though giroux is smaller they all control the puck along the boards at star levels.

Schenn- could be rookie of the year, and could also need more time to develop. If he comes out of the gates like skinner did last year in the 3rd line spot we will have 3 very dangerous lines, and that will make a world of difference.

I don't think Jagr will get 26 I think he'll be more in the range of 18-22 and I don't see Nodl getting 14 goals playing 4th line minutes, which I fully expect him to in the departure of powe.

Everything else looks spot on to me

Not sure Nodl and Talbot get 14 a piece playing on the fourth line. That would be pretty good production from those guys, but I don't see it. The rest of it seems pretty good. I think Voracek gets a little more and JVR gets a little less.

Giroux had 25 last year, I actually dont see why he couldnt hit 30 playing on a line with jagr and JVR, and another year to develop. I remember glen healy say during our cup run that giroux will be a top 5 scorer in the next few years, and I totally agree with him.

Does anyone else think mez can tickle the twine often for us this year? Last year he scored some big goals, and had plenty of chances.

jvr will not be scoring less than 30 goals. bet on it.

I could see Mez getting at least 10 goals. Dude has a booming shot abd he should get some powerplay time. A little optimistic though

If jvr doesnt step into his own this year, its going to be a long year. Basically it has to be game 3 vs the bruins every game this year.

I think one of the main reasons why Jagr was brought in, was not only is he cheap one year replacement for Ville, but he is going to get a lot of PP time. That alone is going to 20 i believe. But his playmaking ability is really going to help guys like JVR and Giroux on the PP too. If you look at our pp stats last year imagine what a bump in time and chances would do to a guy like JVR's stats.

I think most people will be pleasantly surprised when Jagr scores more than 30 goals.

I think the Flyers will have potentially 3-4 players with 25 + goals.

Some of these players seem high but I think the Flyers will be deadly on the powerplay and I think a lot of the players will rack up numbers on the powerplay.

This might not be the place for this, but while we are looking at projections, what type of player is Voacek, and what is he projected to be? Are we looking at a finesse guy who nets 20 goals and 30 assists?

Yeah I just posted this in the Jagr thread but I guess it applies here. I think the difference between a 4/5 seed and a 7/8 seed or maybe even missing the playoffs is 1. Pronger staying healthy 2. JVR putting up 30 and 3. Jagr and Voracek combining for at least 40 goals. Hopefully that and Bryzgalov would help offset losing not only the offensive output of Carter/Richards/Leino but the defense down the middle that we will be much weaker at.
