Flyers GOAL SONG for 2011-12

Any suggestions?

How about "Greased Lightnin'" from the musical Grease. It's catchy. :yo:

Uh, what?

Pretty sure they're going to stick with the DOOP that the Union use.

Beef Invictus 07-05-2011 11:19 AM

Looks like it's time to warm up the Beating Stick.

IrishSniper87 07-05-2011 11:30 AM

I want Bro Hymn back.

sobrien 07-05-2011 11:42 AM

"Doop" for when the regulars score

"Dude looks like a lady" when Jagr scores

"Bro Hymn" for when Carter, Richards, Lupul, upshall, or any other Olde City pack member scores.

"Summer Breeze" for when Bryz scores.

:handclap:

Also, Lou Nolan has to be more like that German PA announcer.

kicksave27 07-05-2011 11:50 AM

Rock N Roll by Led Zep anyone?

My beef is more with the crappy warm up music, it's like they are jay z's 40/40 club or something. Why can't it be like the good old days, with goo 80's rock mix in with some top 40.

I moonlight as a DJ, and some highschool boy asked me to play greased lightning, took a lot of control not to smack him upside the head.

RIPRichardsCarter 07-05-2011 02:13 PM

Bro Hymm = Flyers
Doop = Union

Why would we change it from Bro Hymm?

Beef Invictus 07-05-2011 02:16 PM

When I think of Bro Hymn, I associate it with the Richards/Carter "era." That's now over, so I think it's time for something new.

I sure as hell don't like Doop, but at least no other NHL team does it. So that's a plus.

RevUpThoseGolfCarts 07-05-2011 02:20 PM

I don't care if everyone uses it, I liked Rock and Roll Part 2

OriginJM 07-05-2011 02:24 PM

have you guys ever heard sandstorm

sounds fun

PALE PWNR 07-05-2011 02:30 PM

I think Metallica Disposable Heroes would be pretty appropriate :)

I really hate that DOOP thing. I hope it doesn't stick... :/

flyguys7475 07-06-2011 08:25 AM

it was briere's idea for the doop...if he scores like he does in the playoffs he can keep his song

PuckBoy33 07-06-2011 08:25 AM

too much noise

Just as a side note, is it just me or do others agree that the music during warm-ups and also during stoppages of play is just too darn LOUD? I'm at a hockey game for golly sakes, not a concert. It's almost as bad as Wings indoor lacrosse that plays music DURING the game play. :shakehead

mja 07-06-2011 08:29 AM

Changes by David Bowie :sarcasm:

Coppy 07-06-2011 08:34 AM

I always preferred Blur-Song 2.

MASE THE ACE 07-06-2011 08:37 AM

trololo

PhillyCurt12 07-06-2011 08:39 AM

DOOP is very annoying. thus, DOOP is perfect.

JagerPuck 07-06-2011 09:01 AM

Doop is ****ing stupid.
So is soccer.
That is all.

"Won't Back Down" during the warmups is loud as ****, especially with the bass being cranked up all the way. Personally, I don't mind it but I can see how it annoys some people.

I thought "Changes" by Yes. The intro would be perfect for opening night.
