Nathan Horton?

Player 61 07-05-2011 04:39 PM

OK that's both AHL goalies signed in one afternoon, so I guess they decided not to sign McIntyre then.

AHL Goalie:

Quote:

A native of Calgary, Alberta, Lawson played a total of 83 games in the AHL over the past three seasons, posting a 41-30-9 record with a 2.46 GAA and a .922 save percentage. Lawson ranked second in the AHL in terms of save percentage in 2008-09 (.927) and in 2009-10 (.922), both seasons with Bridgeport.
Sounds good.

katatoniak 07-05-2011 04:40 PM

His AHL stats are pretty good

Roulin 07-05-2011 04:40 PM

This year's AHL vet.

Does anyone know how many contracts the Habs have now?

ThaDevilGirl 07-05-2011 04:41 PM

He was one of the Isles' goalies that had to play in the NHL last season.

MarkovsKnee 07-05-2011 04:41 PM

He played for the Islanders' farm team last year. I guess he's the starter in Hamilton.

Alaska strikes again.

Habs 4 Life 07-05-2011 04:42 PM

More depth in Hamilton, nothing wrong with that

Doesn't tell me anything... There were like 10 goalies who played with the Isles last year.

TheBuriedHab 07-05-2011 04:43 PM

Does PG only announce stuff at 4 30?

pine* 07-05-2011 04:43 PM

Better than Mayer.

Fine by me.

He has already been signed by Buffalo

Habs 1909 07-05-2011 04:46 PM

Played for the Isles last season. At least he's seen some NHL action.

With the addition of Lawson, they are still only at 39; however they still have to sign Gorges & White. And, I assume they are going to sign Carle, Russell & St. Denis since they qualified them. Add those 5 and we're at 44 contracts.

Yah, he's seen NHL action on an AHL team :sarcasm:

Nathan Lawson agrees to 1 year deal with Canadiens. $525,000 (NHL), $105,000 (AHL).
Decent deal, I guess.

Booba 07-05-2011 04:55 PM

Decent signing. His stats in the AHL were always really good despite playing on a weak team. However, he was really bad at the NHL level and he got outplayed by rookies Poulin and Koskinen.

I guess it's a good signing if he stays in the AHL.
