Jason Allison interested in Carolina

The NandO isn't exactly a hotbed for rumors, so negotiations are probably getting underway for this one to happen. As a matter of fact, I haven't seen an article regarding a free agent signing like this in at least two seasons. There is a really good chance this could happen for a number of reasons.

In December, Allison told The News & Observer he was surprised Laviolette was fired by the New York Islanders and expected him to be a success in Carolina.

"If he were my head coach, every night I went out there I'd feel good about what he's doing," Allison said. "A, I'd buy into it. B, I'd want to play for him. With a guy like him, you're not playing alone. He respects what we do, what we say."

Stay tuned folks, this one should get interesting in the next few weeks.

well this really isnt that interesting in all honesty , allison has a nitch for injury , so it would be good for carolina if he stays healthy, but, he probably wont, so dont get to excited and i also dont think that the signbing of allison would do anything major for the hurricanes at all, probabl still wouldnt get them into the playoffs

Jason Allison in my opinion is going to go where there is the most $. He sure could be interested in Carolina, but for an extra $500K he would easily be interested elsewhere.

A fair percentage of teams he is talented enough when healthy to be a top center. Carolina is only one of 12 teams that have talked to his agent.
